Great location and beautiful part of Cornwall, very safe. Friendly staff, fantastic views of the beach from the back and outside the bar. Tired rooms. Carpets need a clean or replacing, no fridge, no air con but a fan is supplied. Close to all the restaurants and shops. I would recommend staying here. Padstow is only 30 minutes drive away, make sure to visit that cute little town. Ideally rent a car as cabs are not reliable.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Great Western Carvery. The food was spot‑on, but the real standout was the exceptional service from Issy. She’s always polite, attentive, and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. A true credit to the team. Five stars all the way.nnDerek & Lisa

Had a wonderful meal with family. Service & food was excellent. Checked if we had allergies. We all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Staff . Jon & Ant check on us regularly and made us feel really looked after. We had fish pie, scampi, gammon & pizza all made and presented very well. Definitely will return.

Even though the result last night wasn’t what we wanted just wanted to say whoever organised the bookings for the England game did a great job. It was well managed and every table had enough chairs for the amount of people you booked for even with some staff taking chairs back off people who were just helping themselves and every table had a clear view of the screen

Really friendly staff, couldn’t do enough for us and made a special fuss over the dogs. We loved the dog station, so nice having fresh water for them.nnThe food was fabulous, generous portions at the carvery and extremely tasty.nnWaiting staff quick to clear the plates and were all really polite.nnWhat stood out to me was the way the staff stopped and chatted to the elderly diners. There seemed to be a few who must come in for lunch each week, and the staff were so nice to them it was lovely to see.nnAnd of course the view is simply outstanding.
