shocking experience here, we arrived at 2:00Pm however check in is at 3:00Pm so it’s understandable that we couldn’t check in early. after dropping out bags off we decided to go into to the town to have a drink we returned about 4:30 They didn’t have enough staff to clean our rooms yet, so we sat in the lobby of the hotel until about 5:45 and they gave us one room while they “cleaned” our other room. We returned back to the hotel at 8PM and yet they still haven’t cleaned our room. this is outrageous, Do better. After at least 15 attempts to ask to speak with management didn’t get too. At 8:15 we finally got a room which wasn’t the right layout.l but at least we got in a room. this is awful and i don’t think i’ll be staying here again. A very bad first experience, i wouldn’t recommend it. The cleaners there was about 3 of them they had to clean 60 rooms which was a big job so well done to them, they are still cleaning rooms at 9:00PM, Overall an odd experience but it was fine in the very end
Rooms are great had a double and you get a sofa that you can also sleep on. The customer service and food is decent. We did have one member of staff that had hygiene issues but all together a great stay. Would stay there again.
Booked for family room. We checked in late and found out they have given our family room to somebody else. They expected one of us to sleep on the floor! Asked my husband to carry a sofa so our son will have somewhere to sleep. At 1 am we drove home for 2hours instead! Worst premier inn ever!!! Will never ever book there again. Awful customer service. Night staff apologetic as it was day staff who gave our room away. Still, once booked, should never give away a room.
Used to live in Kingston, and we tend to stay here when returning to visit friends. It is a a pretty standard Premier Inn, but sadly in need of an update, but nonetheless convenient. Rooms are OK, however not one of the best breakfasts I've had. As ever the staff are helpful and friendly.Rooms: 4/5
We stayed overnight for a Graduation so had booked 2 rooms. One room was fine. It was warm, clean & comfortable but the second room the heating did not work. Not great when in January & the overnight temperature was -4. Went to reception but couldn't find a member of staff. Waited a few minutes but no one came so just went back up to room. If staying longer than one night would have definitely complained about the lack of heating. The location is amazing, however, the hotel recommendation for parking wasn't straightforward to find. Would still definitely stay again.
Arrived signage really poor for Reception ended up going up loads of stairs before getting to reception, presented with self check-in, got into our Premier Plus room where far from impressed only one side of the bed has a plug socket room for 2 only has 1 towel, toilet seat broken and just over half a roll of toilet paper for a 2 night stay. So many shops so didn't have too much of a problem bought what we needed. First shower ok bring your own shower gel as ours didn't work. No window although the window says there's a constant stream of fresh air inside your room it does get stuffy at night.
For the money this is a very decent hotel. Very clean and well situated. I would have awarded it 5 stars but for one thing. At breakfast, very good value, I was just getting my full English and had bacon, sausage, mushrooms and tomatoe on my plate when the kitchen server wipped away the tray with the last broken fried egg on it. Apparently they only do eggs in batches. So I had a five minute wait. Not a great start to the day.
We stayed here as we were visiting our son who is at university nearby, it's always a safe bet to stay at a premier Inn, from the outside it looks huge but going inside it's very dark and small with very low ceilings.the room could do with a lick of paint but the bed was very comfy, we slept very well. We included breakfast in our stay and it was delicious all fresh and the staff couldn't be more helpful
Not a good experience - used the NCP car park as suggested on their website. Girl at check in stamped my card for the 'discounted rate' only to be charged the full price £17.95 on departure. Tried unsuccessfully through DM on Twitter for a response from the hotel however, an appalling lack of interest / 2 weeks later - no response from the management team or attempt to resolve - I expected better - BEWARE! Noteworthy details: Poor customer experience
Of all of the premier inns we have stayed in this is the worst. Entrance was grubby and told on check in they had no staff so no evening meal available. Went out for a meal in the freezing cold and on return the restaurant had people eating? Rooms as normal for premier and and a good breakfast but overall not a premier inn we would consider returning too.
