Amazing pub with open fire, great staff and wonderful interior. It is has the best selection and freshest Harvey's on tap and shows the rugby when it is on. In addition it has very good food so well worth a visit even if you are not near Lewes. Review out of 5 Selection of Beers: 5 Quality of Beers: 5 Ambiance: 5 Staff: 5 Food quality: 5 Shows Rugby: Yes Bar Games: No Open Fire: Yes Total: 27/28 (Superb Pub)

Should be so much better. This is a spit away from Harvey's Brewery, but it is a bit like a neglected sibling. The potty mouthed woman braying like a council estate hyena outside certainly didn't help to add to the atmosphere. Perhaps she was auditioning for The Only Way is Sussex. It has a slight whiff of vomit inside also, which is never a selling point. The toilets were littered with betting slips, loo roll and pools of urine. Room for massive improvement.

Went for lunch with a friend, very nice food quick polite service nice atmosphere.

Nice traditional pub, good atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Would definitely return.
