Great newish bar/lounge/café/restaurant in Lewes. Located down the bottom part of Lewes. Offers lots of food options, wine, spirits and beers. Seemed very busy in the evening when I visited. Vibrant with lots going on. Only complaint was the small bar area to get drinks from and only two people serving. Maybe its something that they are getting used to. But with so many pubs in Lewes, you need to get that part right.

Such a disappointment. I have tried this place out a few times as the ambiance looks very inviting and the location is convenient for meeting friends, but I have too say after the forth Time of giving it the “benefit of the doubt” and letting them iron out a few teething problems I won’t be going back. The food is always dry, cold, from a package or fresh out of the microwave. Not even the cocktails are made from scratch as I found out last night the espresso martinis are pre made. The service is hit and miss, a couple of friendly faces but mostly the place is being run by stropy students with bad attitudes. After receiving poor service last night we were told that nothing could be done and too email head office with a complaint, along with a very half arsed apology. Quite a few people I now know have stated they won’t be going back, and sadly I now am joining them. Total waste as it does have a lot of potential. There are much nicer places in Lewes for delicious cocktails and good quality fresh food.

The staff are lovely, friendly and accommodating. The seating is a little rustic, but comfortable. Not too cramped in. The food was delivered timely, and was fairly average. I'd say mildly over priced for the quality. I would recommend it for a quick, uncomplicated lunch. The staff and service bumps my rating up a little.

Fuego Lounge is warm, dog-friendly, low cost, a little noisy at times, and knows how to appeal to a mass-market audience seeking the all-day cafe and bar experience. It is large enough so that, at most times, one is not sipping coffee while bumping elbows with other customers, and I have noticed that the staff are particularly adept at remembering regular customers' favourite orders. It is one of dozens in a chain, each with a locally-relevant name (or so the creators believe). Much attention has been paid to the comments of previous customers all over the country, because it was clear from the very first day that the Lounge chain moves into a town with the intention of hitting the ground running. The furniture looks like clean hand-me-downs from older relatives, but it's fake. I saw it the day before installation, lined-up on the street outside, unused, complete with manufacturer's labels. The floor looks like recycled gymnasium flooring, but is it fake, too? The portraits on the wall are almost entirely unsigned, though the frames are pretty. The mirrors, likewise, are pretty too. The lights appear antique, but are new. The family areas are well set-out and allow adults to converse while children play; and children's play is appreciated by the staff, who will put artistic works by young visitors on display. Unlike proprietor-owned cafe/restaurants in Lewes, there is no claim made on the menus regarding the origin of any of the food. We do not know the provenance, organic or otherwise, of any ingredients, for example. Nevertheless, the kitchen quality is mostly consistent (though one ingredient was left out of my breakfast, and quickly corrected). An all-day bar/restaurant that's easy to use and inexpensive? Yes. Authentic? I don't feel so.

50 minute wait for brunch burger which came with a fried egg, yolk so hard I couldn't get my knife in it. Food was tepid. Offered dessert or drink as compensation and decided on the salted caramel cheesecake, big mistake. The cheesecake was plain and tasteless, more like a mouse, drizzled with tasteless syrup. One star for friendly staff and the full refund. Despite other positive reviews I won't go again.
