Perfect location close to the quayside where I was attending an event. My room was a premier plus room on the fifth floor. It was spotlessly clean and very quiet which was perfect. No room service available so bear that in mind if getting back late at night and needing a snack. I found staff to be very attentive and helpful on arrival and in the breakfast area. Parking as noted elsewhere is £9. I was happy here would stay here again. Suggestion for team would be to add some dried fruit and nuts to continental breakfast selection and to have more Greek -style yoghurt available as all cereals/granola options were sweet/sugar added.
The location isn't the worst, but the hotel is right on a busy street. The hotel is rundown and dirty. I spent two nights there and never again. I bought breakfast, but it wasn't available the first day due to a broken stove. So far, there are no refunds. There's no bar to sit and relax at. The reception is on the first floor, and we were greeted by an unsmiling staff member. The room was very small a family room, dirty and dark. The windows were filthy, so you couldn't see anything. It's a shame for the hotel to rent such a room. The bathroom was dirty and smelly. I asked to upgrade to a room with a shower, but they refused. I have mobility issues, and getting into the bathtub would be a challenge. The glass next to the bathtub was dirty, as was the mirror. The bathroom door wouldn't close and was damaged by water. There was an unpleasant odor on the ground floor, where the elevators and small lobby are located, and there were two vending machines. Breakfast was a huge disappointment; only the coffee was good. I don't recommend this place.nPaid parking is £9 per 24 hours. On the day of check-out, parking is only valid until 12 noon.
We stayed overnight to do the Wild in Art trail. Great location by the quayside, plus had plenty of parking.nEat at the restaurant which had a few things out of stock but still enough to please us. Lianne was on her own and dealing with everything. Very friendly and helpful. Apologised for food wait but it was not that long to wait. Considering she was on her own dealing with people at check in desk and being a waitress Room was nice, comfy bed and lovely shower
Good location, there is some parking but is limited and is £9 per night. The staff are polite and helpful but this hotel does not have a bar or a chef than season food. The food menu is very boring and generic and I have never had a more depressing steak in my life, I asked for some black pepper and the chef did not have any. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, go to any of these. Breakfast is equally as uninspiring. The room as always is comfortable, clean and does the job.
Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Limited parking on site ,but extra parking available nearby. £9 per night for car park is a bit steep though.nOn our first night only one oven was working so the chef did wonders to keep on top of food orders, especially as there were only him and one other member of staff on duty, who was doubling up checking guests into the hotel and helping with taking orders and waiting tables.nSo no complaints about how hard they were working but more staff needed.
