Stayed at The Carlton for 3 nights. Had a superior single ensuite room, the only issue I had was difficulty regulating the shower, either too hot or too cold. Friendly staff and good, substantial breakfast included in reasonable room rates. As I wasn't leaving Ipswich till later in the day was able to leave my luggage securely at the hotel at checkout to collect when I was ready. Overall a pleasant stay and I would recommend to others.

We go all over the place watching various singers/band's and first of all we find the closest accommodation (and cheapest) and closest to the venue. The Carlton is spot on for the Ipswich theatre.a warm welcome on arrival and a nice room as well.everything is as described by the hotel and breakfast was spot on.recommend any one visiting Ipswich give them a try I will certainly be back.and if you do fancy a beer,there are some great pubs all in walking distance. The rep is very quaint and the food was good.

B&B only. But very convenient and close to Town Centre. Cool place. Adequate. Offers both shared bath type accommodation as well as en suite rooms. Old style building so very narrow steps. Get your own iron box if required. Breakfast is nice and filling.

For a trip to the gallery, or local museum, ideally located, The Greyhound public house is en route. Free upgrade on my stay, very well appointed room, and breakfast (should you require it, included!) Friendly and helpful staff, clean and quiet. I would come again, if travelling this way!
