Pretty decent night's sleep. Was here on business and the room was comfortable, one of the newer ones too which made it all the more worth while.

Really nice rooms, but the AC system is a bit stupid. Came here on holiday, thoroughly enjoyed it. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Negatives: In the new rooms, idk why you put the kettle next to the TV, it was better by the mirror like before as it got in the way of my work on my laptop. Also, we seemed to elephants and rhinos in the room above so there was often a disturbing bang from kids (I assume?) above in the evening. A bit worried about developments out the front, as we saw the land was for sale. Hoping that they don't build anything out the front, as that would spoil the view of the valley. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Positives: Reception staff are very friendly, you can talk to them about your day and have a general pleasant conversation with them. Despite it being next to the A38, you don't really get noise off of cars at night. It is really close to the Morrisons, Argos, pets at home and B&M so most of your needs are there. A short train trip after driving to the station will take you to Plymouth, Looe, Penzance, Truro, St Ives and Newquay so it's very convenient there. You do sleep well here as on my 2nd to last visit, there was an earthquake on Bodmin moor at about 2:30am, which I slept through and only knew about on the news in the morning. -------------------------------------------------------------------- All over a very great holiday here, just sort out the air conditioning and move the kettle and facilities back to where they were before so that they don't clog up the table.

A bit dark & dingy for me to be able to see to cut-off the grissle on my steak. It's not bad, ok for a short pit stop visit, & if you want an economical meal, which is why it's next to the A30. Sometimes beggars can't be choosers. Its a usual comfy purple room with warm air blow around. Unfortunately I had just caught a cold. Mustn't grumble eh? It does the job. Thanks

Stayed here for 3 nights. I had been suffering with a cough/cold and the second night I slept amazingly. Staff were really friendly, rooms always cleaned well. Was always quiet in the evenings. Has Morrisons and B&M nearby. Just a 20 min walk into town and 30 min drive to Plymouth.

I had a very lovely Wellington to start followed by a beautifully cheesy hunters chicken. The food was wonderful. Despite that, service was slow and the restaurant was subject to a very very loud annoying group of drunk people having a party at a shockingly early time of day. Overall: not too awful of a dining experience.
