I've had the worst experience I've ever had ever at a shop!!! I was in the shop with my 2 sisters, me and my one sister were both over the age of 18 and had ID to try and purchase ourselves some alcohol. We also went in there with our younger sister who was buying herself sweets. My sister and I who were over the age of 18 were purchasing alcohol and were refused service because we were in the shop with our younger sister even though we had ID, just because we walked into the shop together. This is ridiculous!!! Were they expecting us to leave our sister out on the streets as we're on holiday and we didn't feel comfortable leaving her on her own as our family were coming to pick us up! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!! Then, our brother went in to buy alcohol and he was refused service by the same girl who wore glasses and mousy blonde hair and she was working on the 24th august 2025 at around 7pm. Then, our dad went in and was also refused service by the same girl! Next, our mom went in and was refused service because she had the same accent as us! We feel so discriminated against because we aren't from around here! WE ALL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP, ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS GIRL IS ON SHIFT! She was giving us attitude and being really rude to us over something that was completely legal! absolutely ridiculous!!
I am so appreciated of your staff. I have Tourettes syndrome. Just had a massive attack. One customer got offended I explained. Customer understood. Staff acted perfectly. Even gave me a understanding nod. Luv the humanity in 2020's
Good range of merchandise for a small branch of Spar and usefully long opening hours. The staff are helpful and friendly. The shop has a coffee machine, hot food, and from memory a photo printing machine. Anyway - worth a visit if you're hunting food when the major supermarkets are shut, and some bargain styo be had if you hunt the special offers.
Have visited this store on several occasions, it's in the centre of Liskeard and very convenient. They always have a great selection of general groceries, snacks and alcohol. The staff that work there are very helpful and provide great customer service, I had an issue with whilst using the photo machine there and the manager who I think was called Rich was extremely helpful and patient and sorted the machine out quickly whilst having a good chat and a laugh with me, great to see a manager on the shop floor and being so friendly and humorous. Top marks to all of the staff who work there.
Just been served by one of the rudest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. A young girl, with curly hair, I’m assuming it’s the same girl other people have mentioned in their reviews. She could do with some coaching on basic manners.
