Clean, comfortable, quiet; everything you want from a hotel room. Front-desk service very helpful, rooms spacious and quiet with easy to control heating. Beds comfortable. You really can't go wrong with a Premier Inn. Cons: Signage for breakfast times could be better, and the car park needs potholes filling in as some are quite large and could cause damage. Safety: Well-lit car park. Key entry required for corridors
I’ve stayed here several times as there is not much choice in the Sutton Coldfield area. It’s tired. Bathrooms are small and grubby. There is no air conditioning so windows have to be left open and all noise from folks coming and going is heard. No lift so be ready to haul bags up/down stairs. Breakfast in the pub adjacent which is to order no buffet. No nice coffee machine - just packet coffee. Staff are all polite and friendly.
The room was lovely, but the bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows on top of the wardrobe had seen better days lost in the pillows . Was so hit in the rooms, no air, and got a fan, which doesn't really give much air . Breakfast wasn't all that great. it could be better. we've stayed in lots of premier inns, and this is one of the worst.
No frills sort of place and a little dated. Our room had the odour of cheesy feet. Otherwise fine for a night's stay.Rooms: 3/5
Very helpful and cheerful front desk staff. Very quiet and pleasant stay, the beds were super comfortable , will stay here againRooms: 5/5
Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed at. Never mentioned that breakfast finishes at 9.30 which should ideally be made clear upon arrival when the receptionist told me i needed to book a table. Toilet roll was not filled up..luckily i keep spare toilet roll in my suitcase as i have noticed that a few run down hotels don’t seem to stock up fully for a new customer. Car park was riddled with potholes, so be careful if you come when it’s dark. Absolute nightmare to find the hotel as it’s around the back of a restaurant and not enough signs to guide you. Last but not least, asked for a printed invoice for my stay company requires a printed invoice to claim back vat only to be told that if she was to print anything it would only show my room number. Apparently have to wait until 12pm for some strange reason. Never have i had issues with a printed receipt at any Premier Inns before. I stay in Premier Inn hotels daily as i work up and down the country..but i’ll be sure to avoid this one in the future.
Excellent rooms, great service, and amazing staff, thanks to kerry for all your assistance during my stayRooms: 5/5
Awful... Truly awful. I moved to Sutton Coldfield in mid last year and for my wedding I booked rooms for relatives as it was very close to me. Never again!... and the whole place needs a thorough overhaul from top to bottom. I work for a major transport provider and have spent over 24 years in customer service and I will use this place as a perfect example of how not to treat customers... Yes, that word... CUSTOMERS. Staff were badly trained. Every time ai drive past there are multiple staff taking smoke breaks and rarely is there anyone on reception... And when they are there often refer you to the website to resolve issues they should be able to deal with. I have sent a recent complaint to the company itself about an issue my parents suffered during a paid for breakfast that I simply don't have time or energy to mention here... But nevertheless it has left a lasting scar on them and me that will take some time to heal. Sadly, I also used to enjoy drinking in the White Horse which the chain uses for hospitality, but I will not be using again for the foreseeable future due to the above. Premier Inn - remember you need customers to succeed. They are the reason you exist and they are prepared to put up with a lot... But you can go too far.
Rooms had everything inside tea, kettles etc.. I couldn't find room enough clean unfortunately. Staff was kind and helpful. They had free parking front of hotel. If you are willing to visit city centre it can be a bit far 30 minuteRooms: 3/5
Sadly to say, this was the worst Premier Inn / hotel we have stayed at. Rooms could do with a new paint and it appeared that the room wasn’t even cleaned, just new bedding and towels put out. We asked the reception team to come and hoover the room and also the leftover toe nails left on the floor, which they did. It was also some facial Hair left on the bathroom door where someone had a shave. They did ask us if we wanted a new room first but we declined, having already unpacked everything. The room facing the road can be loud so ask for a room next to the car park. Also it wasn’t all you can eat breakfast, this was served when ordered to the table with basic coffee. Really disappointed, so I have made a formal complaint to head office.
