Very happy with the staff at reception in the Premier Inn, but don't use the Beefeater adjoining it . . . poor service and poor food . . . . if they can be bothered to cook it. No, we all can't relocate to another restaurant in a town unknown to us, just because the staff/chef didn't want to cook last night. My wife is in a wheelchair with a prognosis of months to live and having a Premier Inn with restaurant 9 minutes away from Guildford hospital was what we specifically planned and needed.
Excellent hotel if needing to be nearby in Guildford. 20 min walk to town centre. Rooms good size, large car park. Beefeater next door serving good quality food at great prices. Lovely, friendly staff.
Can’t comment on rooms within the main building but if they say your room is in the annexe then ask for a different room. It’s separated from the hotel by a fair distance and doesn’t scream safe. The annexe is very close to the main road so window can’t be opened unless you are a fan of road noise. Rooms are very old fashioned with a basic TV. Receptionist wasn’t the friendliest but then if I worked there I wouldn’t be either so fair enough. The best thing I can say is that it was clean but that’s a basic necessity.
Always my go to place whenever I drive down to Guildford. Price around £50 during weekday is a great deal, certainly better than Travelodge. Enough parking space!
Staff were amazing and the rooms were cleannand comfortable and I only had breakfast there but it was good so imagine the rest of the food was ok as well I would stay again
