Lady at the breakfast this morning refused to allow me on a table and kept asking to provide her a receipt to prove I have paid for it. Told her twice that the room was booked with breakfast inclusive and I didn't pay for breakfast separately. Instead of contacting reception to see what was going on, she made me feel I was lying and she was so loud that everyone in the breakfast lobby was listening. During all this time, she didn't bother to ask for my name once. She told me to go back to reception. She made me embarrassed and feel i was lying. I told her my room was changed after initial booking and that may have caused the problem. This is when she finally bothered to ask my name and allowed on a table. But by then she had almost accused me of trying to eat their breakfast for free and she made sure that everyone in the hall listened what she was saying so loud. Very unprofessional, no courtesy and absolutely not welcoming. I travel quite a lot for work and often stay in hotels especially holiday inn and Premier Inn but never came across such a low mannered staff. She definitely needs more training as she wasn't trained enough to complete checks professionally and in a polite way.nnThe breakfast was not bad and other reception staff were good and helpful.
The place was looking a bit tired and in need of some TLC both inside & outside. Bed very comfortable as usual but carpet stained and marks on bathroom ceiling & walls. Staff very helpful, good humoured & friendly but run off their feet in the restaurant with one person having to do too many things at the same time. Despite the pressure she remained calm and good humoured. Food excellent.
This is a very dated Premier in, no air conditioning so the rooms are either boiling hot or freezing cold, it is in separate need for the rooms to be refreshed, and remove the super dangerous baths !!!! The staff were amazing and so friendly. BUT the attached pub is a soul sapping rank and disgusting place that serves mediocre food at ridiculous prices !
It's ok, just like all the other premier Inns they provide good value overnight accomodation. Although they could really do to employing a gardener to tidy up the outdoor areas nOnly downside was the breakfast as we were expecting a buffet style English breakfast selection, you've to ask the waiter what you'd like & it's all cooked to order which is no good if you're in a bit of a rush, although the cereals, cold juices & drinks are available to help yourself.
I have been staying at Premier Inn, Grimsby, since last approx. 07 years as regular customer every after two weeks,nas i am working at immingham port on the Svitzer Tug boat as a Chief Engineer, so i found very friendly staff, hospitality, very clean & big rooms, clean, big & hygienic bathrooms, warm showers, very friendly & professional housekeepers, Receptionist and professional Restaurant Staffall professional chefs, specially Mr Drew and others,nHousekeeper: Vicky is the best, very kind, professional, friendly, kind, hard working, she has got ability to promote high up, know her since last more than 06 years, also others are very nice, friendly and professional, hardworking as well like Helan, Leigh,etc sorry, for wrong names and wrong spellings,nReceptionist: Deby is best, know her since last approx more than 06 years, very professional, kind, friendly, has got ability to promote high up,nYoung Jess, she is also very friendly, professional, talented, knows her for many years, has got ability to Promote high up,nImportant Suggestion: should not move the Professional Staff everywhere until unless they like to move by themselves on different jobs, should not put too much pressure on them to move on all the jobs, this way they can’t focus on their job and can loose the interest, then you can loose professional staff, exactly same things are happening, already many good & professionals gone, should keep senior professionals with new staff for training of new people, specially in hotel industry due to public dealing, otherwise you will loose customers rather than make customers,nand also in hotel menu if you please add some Muslim food will be appreciated,nIt’s just my opinion,nKarar Hussain
