Okay, first. Staff here are wonderful. They are genuinely interested in looking after you, it what they're working with that is the problem.nnOur issues; room 412 stinks of cigarette smoke, particularly in the bathroom. It's very clear that this is coming via the ventilation system from another room. Staff verified the smell and sprayed the room but there's nothing you can do to stopping it coming back via the ventilation system.nnWe needed a snack to keep us going to a later external event. Two soups were ordered but only one available so I chose the fish gougons. These arrived with an apology of how they looked but they also tasted nothing like fish, and the texture was that of reconstituted chicken too. If you see the video I've attached sound up, you'll understand just how cheap the product's ingredients are.nnStaff refunded the charge.nnBreakfast is all on the cheap too. Something called a sausages that looks like a shriveled prune and tastes of, well, nothing. Cold plates for hot food too.
I was put in an adjoining room and you could hear everything in the other room from what they were watching to opening cans of juice, which meant I was very self conscious about making any noise.nThe sink in the room wouldn't drain properly and the shower was mouldy round the edges along with water damage to the bathroom door frame.nThe breakfast really wasn't very good, scrambled egg had been out too long and was horrible, all the other cooked items weren't very good quality.nParking is expensive.nOverall, not very good value.
Room, was a decent size, very clean, comfy bed, nice powerful showernnStaff lovely and friendlynnBreakfast was ok not as bad as other reviews say it is, but they don't put enough out, so if it's busy it goes very quick.nnGood location
Excellent clean and modern accommodation. Efficient and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Off-street parking. Centrally located and next to train station.
Perfectly adequate for a one nighter. Our room 2nd floor was spacious, the bed was comfy, bathroom fine, shower really good! Breakfast was good, choice of hot and cold being regularly topped up. Location is ideal for access to bars, restaurants etc. Right next to Grimsby Town railway station but no noise of any concerns. Paid for parking £9 for 24hrs via QR code or machine in the car park
