Room was as expected with a premier inn. Beds comfortable and sheets clean. Unfortunately the rooms are a bit tired and worn out, a renovation would do it wonders. Bathroom unfortunately was dirty when we arrived. Staff were incredibly helpful and did their best to accommodate our family.
The rooms were fine. Maybe not as new as other sites but I liked that. But the staff is what makes this site amazing. So friendly and fantastic with the kids. And the breakfast was much better than i've had at other sites. Noteworthy details: Receptionist that booked us in took the time to greet the kids and ask about them in engaged conversation. And when we left a different receptionist knew where we were heading and wished us a safe drive. Just a very friendly atmosphere.
This is a very tired Premier Inn in need of an update, but had a decent night's sleep and there was a fan in the room which was much needed and appreciated. Staff polite. Breakfast in the attached pub was mediocre and not very well made. Wouldn't stay there again.Rooms: 2/5
Mum was visiting from East Anglia due to her mobility she isn't able to stay with me now so I booked one of the accessible rooms here for her. Booking online was easy, and the cheapest option. Checking in and out couldn't have been simpler. Although this is the Carlisle Central Premier Inn it's a 30 minute walk out of the city, serviced by two buses the 76 and 685. There are also plenty of taxis available pre-booked or on rank. However, it's perfectly located near my home so it was ideal for us on this occasion. Plenty of parking available including one disabled bay outside the annex, just across from the main hotel, where the accessible room was located. The room was perfectly spacious with a bed which made getting in and out a breeze. A very comfortable armchair that could entice a snooze. A large wet room with handrails and shower chair. An emergency call button by the bed too. Mum was so pleased with the facilities and standard of cleanliness. The staff she encountered were all cheerful and super helpful. They kept her stocked with coffee and were happy to chat on passing. Nothing was too much trouble she said. We would definitely use this Premier Inn for future visits. We did not use the attached Brewers Fayer as local reviews by friends were disappointing, so we ate at other establishments nearby or just down the road in the City.
Rooms are typical to a premier Inn has a nice restaurant/pub attached, walking distance to morrisons, on a bus route for town centre. Easily found off the motorway junction 44. It's about half a mile from the motorway.Rooms: 4/5
Didn't check reviews before staying, not your usual standard premier Inn. Bathroom sink coming away from the wall, smelled musty and unused, dust all over the remotes and kettles. Only stayed a night for a stopover to Edinburgh luckily
One night stay while visiting family, very good rooms, friendly and helpful reception staff an great food.Hotel highlightsQuiet, Great value
Myself and two relatives had the need to stay at this hotel for a little over 3 months due to construction work being done on our home that rendered it uninhabitable. It was a simply wonderful place to stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and, as you can imagine, being at this location for such a long time, we spent a considerable amount of time in these rooms. If I were to be nit-picky, the lavatory paper was just simply awful, so I ended up bringing my own, and the television remote in one of our rooms didn't work. We had the need of a disabled access room, and again, it was really spacious, comfortable and easy to get to, unlike the Premier Inn a little further up the road at junction 44 in Carlisle which put their disabled access rooms at the farthest point away from anywhere of use. The staff were polite, helpful and accommodating, greeting us each morning with a smile. One specific member of staff, Tasha, who works the front desk at late night shifts was especially delightful; always cheerful and talkative and extremely helpful. Being that I suffer with insomnia, I had many a late night conversation with her and she was always very helpful with things pertaining to the hotel and beyond, offering help and advice when I was feeling overwhelmed by the situation I found myself in with the work being done on my home. She was especially considerate while doing her rounds late in the night, making sure not to let doors slam and being light-footed as she walked the halls, unlike another member of the late night team who often seemed to stamp his way through the halls apparently barging his way loudly through the doors, letting them slam noisily behind himself. The attached bar and restaurant is actually a separate business, but does provide the breakfast for the hotel. The cooked breakfast is plentiful and often nicely prepared, although on occasion the fried eggs weren't fully cooked, but that only happened maybe twice in our extensive stay. The continental breakfast bar was generally well stocked with a plethora of option. The bar itself is a very busy location, so if you wish to have a meal, it is best to book a table as they are full most nights. The food is very good, considerably better than the hotel owned restaurant up at the junction 44 location. Similarly, the staff within the bar were polite and helpful with one particular member of staff, Anne, who we encountered many times at breakfast being cheerful and talkative, often offering us help and advice on the construction situation at our home, every day asking how it was coming along. Overall, having spent such a considerable amount of time at this location, I can't really complain about much at all, and any complaints I might have would be more from inconsiderate guests and not the fault of the hotel of the staff.
I stay in priemer inns all the time and ive had good and bad ones this was by far the worst wouldnt let u book a table for food cos football was on rooms was very out dated specailly the bath room outdated and dirtyRooms: 1/5
Really outdated & could do with an upgrade, nothing premier about this hotel. Julie on reception just didn’t seem bothered about your stay. Won’t return.
