Service was absolutely fantastic! The reception team were so helpful, especially Megan who was there on the evenings of our stay. Loads of food options around so you don't have to travel too far out. Room was comfortable, however not to the standard you'd expect of a Premier inn, but not worth complaining about as it was just a room for the nights.
Bed comfortable which is a bonus but pillows are to thick for my personal preference it makes them hard. breakfast is amazing worth every penny. Would of liked the bin in the bedroom emptied daily but you have to ask for it to be done and for clean towels. But for a budget hotel it's one of the better ones it's clean on the whole the water is always hot which is lovely. The location isn't the best but its central.
I went for breakfast at the Premier Inn, and what a lovely hotel this is. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel. The food was lovely and the hotel was very clean. What a lovely start to my day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Typical premiere inn really. Comfy room. Price was reasonable. Restaurant was a little expensive but food was really good. Did have a problem with the shower but they were quick to sort it out Parking was ample and free, and the proximity to Diggerland made my wife very happy indeed. Plenty to do in the area Cinema, restaurants etc and the view of the Medway is lovely when the tide is in and you can't see the mud flats.
We slept well . Maybe because there was a rail strike . We had room 324 . It looks like all even room are next to the railway. Odd numbers look out over the river Medway. Evening food was good but I had to ask for mushy peas , Usual clean room and layout . Breakfast no one told us you got to order fried eggs b4 you are seated. Overall good value. Also very close are big mac, bowling alley, restaurants and a bingo hall . It's a 34 min walk to strood shops and a 45min walk to Rochestet high st
We stayed for 3 nights. Check in was an absolute shambles. Check in is a very strict 3pm only and not a minute before, there were so many people standing around in the tiny lobby waiting and then 1 receptionist didn't catch her name but she coped exceptionally well considering and 1 Check in machine made it a very slow process. Such a rude reception from jess obviously never had any customer service training or is seriously fed up of the job...not sure which! We had travelled for 4 hours and arrived at 2.15 2 disabled in our party of 4 I asked very politely if there was any chance one of the rooms was ready yet, instant 'no Check in is at 3pm' I said I understand that just thought I would see if maybe we could get in a bit early. Her response was 'did you not read your confirmation Check in is at 3pm' it was like talking to a robot. She could have said unfortunately the rooms aren't ready yet but feel free to come and sit in the restaurant and have a drink but nope the only words she appeared to know were 'Check in is at 3pm!' Once we had eventually checked in we realised our rooms were on the first floor...fine there are 2 lifts - unfortunately only one working. So when everyone had checked in everyone wanted the lift..another queue! Rooms are your standard for prem Inn, no complaints on that front. The location is perfect, so much to do on the business park. However I honestly don't think we will stay here again purely because of the rude reception we got
Room was very spacious, TV was good with easy to reach ports to plug in laptop and any entertainment. Room was quiet enough. Only criticism was the beds, they had us aching the morning .Rooms: 3/5
I have been staying at this hotel for several years over Christmas, when I come over from Canada. Over the years, I have noted a significant deterioration in services, reflecting general malaise in the chain. The internet connectivity is a joke. Although subscribed to the Ultimate wifi package, you will need to sign in to your devices each time you turn off the device. Forget doing serious work using the wifi. You will be better off communicating using smoke signals. The elevators are frequently out of order and have been so for the last 48 hours, following rescue of a trapped guest by the fire department. This is the 3rd time this week for the malfunction. You will however get plenty of exercise ascending the stairs. The staff are singularly unhelpful, and one has to argue one's case for extra towels. In the past at least you were assured of clean rooms. That is now a distant past. Room service is now on demand - another opportunity for the chain to maximize profits, while cutting down on services. Save yourself money and stay elsewhere, or be ready for a dissatisfactory stay. In a word the hotel has gone down the gutter, and the service is appalling.
Nice and clean, check in was easy and efficient. The Hotel was cold, so was the restaurant, we did inform staff. The breakfast was fabulous!
Rooms were in need of an overhaul and it appeared they were seriously understaffed. Waited an hour and ten minutes between courses and was only fed then as we went and found the receptionist. Many groups who were hoping to have a drink at the bar gave up and went elsewhere as there was nobody serving.Rooms: 2/5
