Well as you may or may not know I love italian food, so I asked my self, why on earth haven't we tried Positano.  We'll we have and we weren't disappointed one bit.  Yes the decor is in the 80 but that's fantastic, its Classic. Now to the food.  We used to frequent a great Italian restaurant in Cambridge back in the 90s, I so far we haven't found anything close, till now.  The starter Antipasto Al Italiano massive and was great.  I had chosen from the menu but then I was offered a special, Orecchiette & sausage with broccoli.  One of my favourite dishes. A good choice to test this place out.  And my wife had veal,  a dish that's not on a UK menu very often but a popular one in Italy. A great bottle of red and to finish of we had Grappa . So after that very long winded chat all I can say I think I've found a fantastic Italian restaurant again.  Great food, great wine , great staff, great venue, loved it. Yes we will return. Grazie!

Went for the first time based on the 5 star ratings. Can see why it has 5 stars. The friendly and welcoming staff along with the fantastic tasty food and great service warrants this restaurant with 5 stars. Will definitely come back and recommend to friends without a second thought. Just brilliant food and service and great value for money .

Authentic Italian food. The pasta isn't overcooked, like it is literally everywhere else. The carbonara is hands down the best I've ever had, plus it's a decent size serving too. Would recommend. 10/10

First time at Positanos tonight after hearing only amazing reviews and I’m so glad to say we weren’t disappointed. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted warmly and friendly by all staff and the service throughout the night was outstanding. The house wine was absolutely incredible and only £10.80!!!! which was a huge hit.  We were amazed by the menu and how much choice there was which added to the excitement of trying to pick what to have. Overall, the food was insatiable and the portion sizes were very generous. The carbonara was probably the best I’ve ever tasted and the pizza was huge. The complimentary bruschetta was an amazing touch and honestly delicious.  We were blown away by the food and service and the value for the money was the icing on the cake. Can’t believe we haven’t been before and cannot wait to go back again - already booked in again for a weeks time! Positano’s deserves all of the recognition it receives and I’d recommend anyone to go.

Had a fabulous meal here last weekend. Superb food and service. Very nice to see Covid care being taken in all areas. We have a great time and will be back.

Reasonably priced menu. The service is very slow. The food are well presented. The calamari starter is good and not very oily; the salmon pasta is tasty but the pizza dinamite  is too salty and does not taste like Italian pizza. .

Great food and service. Went on weekday lunch time and while quiet as expected, there were still people there and an atmosphere. Authentic Italian feel and excellent food. I had prawn in garlic and wine starter, then the seafood risotto and both were gorgeous. My companion had calamari and one of the veggie pasta dishes that was also well enjoyed. Lovely friendly people.  Parking: Parking is city car parks or limited on street parking across the road, all pay and display

Great service and food as always Family feel restaurant with a wide range of Italian fayre from antipasti through pasta, pizzas, meat and seafood dishes to desserts.

Fantastic as always. Incredible food and wonderful friendly service. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful Italian as it should be , from start to finish ,take your time and enjoy the food
