Recommended to us as we were holidaying in the area. We phoned our order in in the morning and collected at night. The fish was so incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked! Very large portions so we actually couldn't finish the sides we also ordered although they were very good. Highly recommended.
Absolutely excellent!!! Pop pop chicken and prawns were amazing, light crispy batter with lots of flavour haddock was exceptionally good too - all complimented with homemade sauces and dips. We will definitely be back - sad it's up for sale though
Didn't book beforehand on a Saturday evening, so faced a wait advised 40 minutes. We were given a pager to let us know when our order was ready. We waited outside and watched the stream of cars arrive to collect their orders. Collected our order after 30 minutes. Was it worth the wait? Haddock, chips and mushy peas were the BEST in living memory, and our home town chippie has won awards. Very good!
Very good fish and chips. Batter very light and tasty, not greasy. Pies and sausages are expensive, compared to Manchester prices, but seem to be in line with other chippies in the area. Chips acceptable, freshly cooked. Good service, i will be back. Probably the best for miles around, not the best I have been to hence not 5 stars. Will be back next time I am in the area.
Greasy, heavy and cheap frozen ingredients . A chip shop in a seaside town should be a staple, proudly serving freshly caught, local produce. What a let down. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options available. It’s deep fried potatoes in batter, on top of deep fried potatoes though.
A previous reviewer said "Hands down the best fish and chips in Moray". I can't add to that. Just make sure you phone ahead, because this place gets insanely busy for a reason.
Best fish and chips we had in our trip to Scotland. The breading for the King Prawns was delicious.
A good takeaway had local Haddock, Chips and Mushy peas Crispy batter and freshly cooked chipsFood: 4/5
Attended with great expectations the place looked a very nice set up when visiting the area! Ordered a black pudding supper then changed to fish, chips with curry sauce and tartar sauce as their was plenty fish on the shelf. £10.80 for the pleasure. Was given a small mobile phone device to get buzzed despite just standing in the shop. Waited, waited waited, many people appeared and left still not order 15 minutes later, despite the shelf loaded with fish! Eventually had enough and said I would just had a refund as I cannot wait that long for a fish and chips. I genuinely have never waited so long in my life. They refused to refund claiming it was all my fault, I was a horrible customer and they take orders since 10am in the morning. Well good for you! I told them they were desperate for money as most successful business would just apologise and refund. The place is also covered in cameras and is oppressive, all around the place. Maybe the owners thing think are going to get their fish robbed! The fish and chips was bland and really tasteless. The order was short of the tartar sauce also despite paying for it, check your CCTV. Arguing over 10 pound refund just cost them more as I will never return and tell my friends of my experience. The customer is king but not to these guys!
The finest haddock supper I've ever had. Superb quality and taste.Food: 5/5
