For a small supermarket it is always well stocked with a wide range of products. Notable for selling locally sourced food - keep a special look out for the bread and cheese! Useful free customer parking in an otherwise very busy tourist area. Still doing well since last visit - well worth the update to 5*. Plenty of fresh veg and a good choice of beverages in a well stocked off licence section. Keep your eyes open for special offers in the wine section.

The only grocery shop in Porthleven is so very useful, staff are very friendly and always happy to help.
Best supermarket in town, selling all the products you could want to buy. Car parking right next door for those who want to park close and stock up

Decent little store, selling the essentials. Only let down by some of the staff being rude. We come to Porthleven every single year in November. We use this store and most of the local businesses every time and all are welcoming. On this last visit in 2021 we found that on the 3 occasions we visited this store, all of the female staff members were great. Friendly and helpful. But there was a male member of staff, in his 60s, who really let the store down. 3 people ahead of us with Cornish accents got greeted in a friendly tone, had chatter while they had their items bagged and got thanked. When it came to us, with accents from other areas, our ‘hello’ was ignored and greeted with silence. Asking for a bag had one thrust at us without a word and when we said ‘thank you’ we got ignored again. We mentioned this to others in our group who’d been to the shop the previous day and found they too had had the same experience with the same member of staff! My family have been holidaying here for nearly 40 years. We’re not local, but we always come back to Porthleven and always use the local shops rather than the big chains in the nearby towns. It was horrible to be treated this way and left us feeling embarrassed in front of other shoppers and singled out. I will still use this shop the next time we visit as the other staff members are great. But this single staff member has changed the friendly atmosphere in there. It was horrible to see such prejudice from a member of staff and sadly this is why I can’t give the place a higher rating.
Great for popping in if you need something last minute, but has a limited selection. Quite little in the way of fresh meat, for example. However, does have a good selection of local produce including hams, cheeses, fish, and vegetables. Staff are great! Fair warning that shelves can get a bit bare around the peak of tourist season, but the shop always does it's best to quickly restock!
Well stocked local supermarket with fresh produce & friendly staff.
Only mini mart in Porthleven but has everything need for self catering, great choice of wines and beers,also locally sourced fresh produce..
