I recently had an extremely unpleasant experience with Armtrac Security Services at a car park in Cornwall. I wasn’t planning on writing a review, but after doing some research and finding out that this company’s tactics have been covered in the news, I felt compelled to share my story. I have been a regular user of this car park and have never had any issues until recently. I made the mistake of entering my registration number incorrectly in the payment machine only because they had changed it from partial to full registration without telling anyone, and I was shocked to receive a £60 charge. This seemed like an excessive amount for a small mistake, and I was left feeling frustrated and cheated. After some further investigation, I discovered that this is a common issue with Armtrac Security Services, and they have been known to use aggressive and intimidating tactics to enforce their charges. It is concerning that this company is being used by the car park, as it reflects poorly on their reputation. The fact that this issue has been covered by Cornwall live only further confirms the unethical practices of Armtrac Security Services. It is disappointing to see a company that is supposed to provide security services resort to such underhanded tactics. I am appalled by the lack of transparency and fairness displayed by Armtrac Security Services. As a regular customer of the car park, I expected better treatment and understanding from the company. Instead, I was met with a hefty charge and no consideration for my mistake. I urge the car park to reconsider their partnership with Armtrac Security Services and find a more reputable and ethical company to handle their security needs. It is not fair for customers to be subjected to such unjust charges and intimidation. In conclusion, my experience with Armtrac Security Services was extremely disappointing and has left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that by sharing my story, others will be aware of the questionable practices of this company and avoid similar situations. I also hope that the car park will take the necessary actions to address this issue and provide better service to their customers.
Enjoyed our stay here. The beach was dog friendly mornings and evenings. The pub on the beach was nice. You can also get JustEat at this site lol! Toilets could have been cleaner but we did have bad weather... Had a very small shop for bread milk etc also done coffees toasties and sausage rolls. Eating out options limited.
Booked for our touring caravan, this is a very well kept site, reasonable showers and toilet block thats kept nice and tidy. Grass pitches are nice and flat and have a generous amount of space too. Beach is a 2 min walk away with easy access. Definitely would come back.Service: 5/5
Stones throw away from the beach and a nice walk, not too far away from Newquay. We'll laid out site. Mostly flat pitches in a scenic valley. Laundry services on site and generous sized toilets and showers that were clean overall few spiders webs. Friendly reception and security staff with regular patrols of the site. Supermarkets are a ten minute drive away and a pub literally over the road from the site. Porth beach allow dogs on the sands from 6pm-10am .
Lovely campsite. Went with our own caravan & awning. Right from the booking, I explained my wife's disabilities & needs & we were given a pitch, close too, but not right in top of the amenities. Loo/shower blocks cleaned well, but then you get the scrotes that don't treat them with respect & leave them in a state. A customer brush & squeegee would be a welcome addition in these blocks, so respectable campers could clean up after the previous dirt bag, & indeed after themselves for the next user. The disabled cubicles could do with being key entry, with a deposit on the key. My wife had to wait 20 mins for some mid twenties, able bodied female of lesser breeding, who left most of her products all over the walls & facilities. Campsite staff & night security were fantastic & very friendly. Fairly flat level pitches, well laid out with plenty of water & fire points. Great beach opposite & bus stops right outside, for when the local Rattler has flowed freely the previous night. Glad to be home after 300miles, but I wish I was still there. Northumbria planned for next year, but this would be my campsite of choice, for our next Cornish holiday. Keep up the great work you do!
Stayed for 2 nights as part of an impromptu trip from Devon, enjoyed it so much booked again for the following weekend. Location is great, 5-min drive or 25-min walk to central Newquay, plus opposite a beach, pub and tapas bar on your doorstep. Camp site is not overwhelmingly huge, service from reception upon check-in was friendly and personable, site has spotlessly clean facilities, decent showers and washing up space, plenty of bins & drinking water taps and other campers are quiet and considerate during our stay - nice to see lots of well behaved dogs too, as some in Newquay are not dog friendly beach however is not dog friendly during July and August. We will stay here regularly from now on.
We camped with our motorhome for 3 nights, amazing location and site, toilets, showers all clean and well maintained. My problem is the over price for this pitch. £165 for electric hookup, £60 for a member for exactly the same service. The 3 chemical toilet drops are together at the front of the park, a 5 minute walk from the back for us fit people.
Fabulous holiday we love coming to this holiday park. Had plenty of walks to Newquay and along the coast line. The pub over road little pricey but good food and plenty of itRooms: 5/5
Been my holiday destination for last 8 years with my touring caravan. Best site ever stayed at for cleanliness and location, my kids will also be using this for many more years. Ideal location also for the boardmasters festival.Service: 5/5
Very nice site beach just across the road, facilities are first class. Newquey is a short coastal walk away to collect provisions etc.Location: 5/5
