My children had visited previously but this was my first time and I have to say I was impressed by the sheer size of it. Lots of outdoor space so it didnt feel crowded. The children absolutely loved seeing all the animals and the outdoor play area is a massive bonus.nnWe had a pizza which was delicious and freshly baked. There is a coffee shop and plenty ice cream to buy too.nnThe gift shop is a lovely addition and very reasonably priced too.nnAll in all we had a fabulous day out and the weather helped also spent nearly four hours there.nnWe will definitely be going back during the next holidays.
Brilliant family day out. Fantastic value for money. Not a huge zoo but a good variety of animals to see. There are a couple of parks, a man made beach area and air pillows to keep the kids occupied. Plenty of picnic tables around and a couple of cafés. Plenty of free parking available on site. The staff were very friendly. Certainly worth a visit.
Well ! What a great little Zoo. We went with our Daughter for a birthday present. Spent a lot longer there than expected. Great day out with lots to see and do. Friendly helpful team and you actually get to see most of the animals. Very reasonable price and so is the food and drink inside as well. Recommend for a visit.
A fair few years back I visited here and swore that I'd never return BUT a few people told me to try it again.nI gave it a chance and fair play it's definitely had an upgrade and work done to enclosures. The staff where friendly and helpful.nFor the price you can't really complain at the amount of animals, especially as it's our closest zoo to usnWe didn't buy food to keep it a cheap trip but the ice creams looked lovely.
We had a lovely day here today, 5 hours in total. A Saturday and we just payed on the gate and parked easily at 11am.nThe animal selection is small but its nice because you don't have to rush, aside from the triantulas we saw everything! Tip for seeing the serval and wild cats is to go at feeding time, otherwise quite elusive.nTheres a few play grounds, plenty of picnic areas, bouncy pillows the big one is only for over 6s but of course the entitled parents let their toddlers ruin the big kids fun, there's a small one for under 6snThe cafe prices are very good, it was £2.50 per scoop of ice cream or 2 for £3.50. £3.50 for sandwiches, I'll upload pictures.nMy only two niggles were no water refil stations in 2026 and the toilets are all mixed so don't allow your children to go alone!
