Such a lovely pub that I am sure we will be going back to. We had a quick stop and a few small plates here on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We managed to find a table outside which was great as we hadn’t booked. The staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was really tasty, fresh and an excellent choice on the menu. A bit pricey but as expected for this area and for the quality of the food. Would recommend!
An old favorite, now seems to be a “Young’s” pub. Had the best pint of Young’s Special of the trip. The outside seating has been greatly improved, and the interior is little changed fortunately A great place to stop into after a walk from Greenwich and enjoy the view.
After a well commentated boat ride down the Thames we were looking for a proper place for a pint and fish and chips, we found it. Got to sit outside on the banks of the river and you’re far enough from the dock it was quite relaxing and dare I say peaceful. Our waitress was very pleasant and it was exactly what we were looking for!
Very warm, but staff were conscientious in trying to get a mobile air-conditioning unit working. Food plentiful, lovely setting, drinks slow in coming due to lack of ice! Lovely characterful pub in a beautiful setting.
What a wonderful pub, we had the Chefs Roast which was absolutely superb. The staff are friendly and there is a lovely vibrant atmosphere. We had a table in the window of the Crows Nest which gave us an incredible view of the Thames. Cannot wait to return, highly recommend Thank you
Beautiful pub with a great view of the river so it has a great atmosphere. Lovely food too. The menu does change according to the seasons, but over several visits I’ve tried the crab and mozzarella to start, the vegan burger, chicken salad, steak & chips, Mac & cheese and fish & chips. The fish is SO crispy and delicious! It was all very tasty and I always look forward to going back
Lovely old pub in Greenwich just set back from the River Thames on a cobbled road. A bit pricey compared to some pubs but this is very individual and just a nice place to be whether inside or outside by the Thames on a sunny day. Food is good and staff very friendly. Nice spot to sit if you can get seat on the wing back chair by the fireplace
Great spot for anyone that wants to spend a weekend visit in Greenwich. We hired the private dinning room on the top floor of the pub. Our service food and service was best described as exquisite. Thank you Charlotte for your great service. Cheers to the Cutty Sark.
Definitely recommend booking a table here to eat. The food was absolutely divine and not extortionately priced. The staff and the customer service was impeccable they were so helpful to us. It's a unique setting with a stunning view of canary wharf over the River. Suitable for adults and children. Good choice of food and drinks. Certainly 5 stars worth.
Probably not worth it. We went here on a recent trip to London because it was included on an outdated list of London classic pubs and because we were able to get a table at late notice even though many of the other pubs on the same list were booked out. The floor service upstairs was excellent, views very nice, staff attentive and friendly, food comes out quickly. Mushy peas definitely not mushy - dry. Fish pie didn’t have a lot of fish in it. On leaving I took a photo of two serves of fish and chips on the service bar between the kitchen and floor and a slurring bar tender with food and spittle around his mouth accused me of taking a photo of the waitress. I was initially confused by what he was inferring and passing him off as an oddity I continued to the bathroom. On coming out from the bathroom there was quite a small leprechaun like man in a chefs outfit standing near the kitchen who told me I needed to delete the photo. I said “are you kidding me, I took a photo of your fish and chips” and he told me I needed to ask permission to do so. I laughed at him because his demeanor was one of a small angry and confused man with no purpose who was trying to flex in front of the waitress like some kind of tiny gladiator so I sent him back to the kitchen and told him to get on with his work and perhaps focus on mashing the peas properly. What would have been an overall great experience was tarnished by some faux bravado on behalf of a couple of guys trying to impress their female colleague. This pub was half empty for evening service and we were able to get a late booking but now I realise that there was good reason for this.
