I haven't been to Shirley in a long while and forgot all about Plested Pies. I bought a Plested steak pie, husband said it was wonderful, also bought 3 jumbo sausage rolls, delicious and then I saw the Eccles cakes. I usually find the fruit gets lost in the pastry when it rises, but these were so full and juicy, really filling. The best I ever had. It will not be long before I go back to Shirley again. Keep up the good work.
Wow!! Superb food made here! All made in house, and let me tell you... You must be quick! Its that nice some items go super fast! Got a sausage roll, lasted me about 3mins! ... Its that good! Just go and have a look at the range they have! Bless those cooks!... Best place in Shirley, even better than greggs! No competition!! And loads cheaper!! Clean, tidy and very helpful staff, parking available just across the road, sanitisers at the front door, disabled friendly!... Coming back soon!! 5**
I grew up having Plested pies. My parents would often get the steak and kidney pies, for our dinner. I would buy an apple pie and eat it on the bus home. They were lovely. I recently spoke about the pies and decided to go and get some. The filling is just as good as I remember but the pastry is too thick. This detracts from the overall enjoyment of the pies.
Plesteds are the best.Shame they've had to raise the price from 2 .15 to 2.45 for steak and kidney. But still you gotta pay it! Cos they're so good!!
I remember years ago when you opened up the pie you could see the steak and kidney know its the same it's runny
A good selection of pies, steak and kidney, chicken and mushroom. Pasties ,curry vegetables etc. My choice is the home made Bread pudding, fruity with a taste of spices. Excellent value. Sausage rolls , serve hot or cold. Well established .
I’ve had plested pies since I was old enough to go to town with my friends , best pies a round have been having them again the last few months would not have any other 1s .
The bacon and cheese turnover!!! The sausage bagette thing!!! The lamb pastie!!! And sausage roll!!! Is great when I've just walked yet another mile in freezing cold and rainy climate!!! Thanks for that!!! Try and be more polite as the two mature women are very busy keeping it warmer!!! Only downside is lots of crumb bits can fall into coat if not watching it!!! No seating area for a real social gathering just stood outside shop or lucky to get on one of the high street benches!!!
Best bakery ever the food is amazing and the pies are the best. I'm definitely going there again for my birthday and I recommend this place to everyone
Oh my god... greasy fatty pastry...veg not cooked... traditional Cornish pasty I think not no steak at all just cheap fatty mince. Over priced ...if you can see the price on the minty signs.....no information on ingredients or % of meat
