We recently hired The Platform Tavern for a post-wedding buffet on a bank holiday Monday, and it was an exceptional experience! Hosting 30 people the day after our wedding at The Brook, we couldn't have asked for a better venue to continue our celebrations. The food was fantastic, offering a wonderful mix of meat, vegetarian, and vegan options that satisfied all our guests. Each dish was delicious and beautifully presented, showcasing the culinary skills of the team. The cost was very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety of food provided. Stewart, Jeremy, and the entire team were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made the day extra special. We can't thank The Platform Tavern enough for their outstanding service and delightful cuisine. It was the perfect setting for our post-wedding celebration, and we highly recommend them for any event or gathering.
Great traditional pub. Hard to find that sort of uncomplicated atmosphere these days. Good place for drink and chat with mates.Atmosphere: 4/5
This tired and jet lagged traveller rolled in after a nine hour flight from Canada and a three hour bus ride from London to arrive in Southampton. This was a delightful place to get some dinner and I was hooked as soon as I saw they had a Sunday roast dinner on the menu and a good selection of beer on tap. The atmosphere was fun with live music the staff were great, and the food was fantastic. Thank you all for giving me the dinner and beer that I didn’t really know I needed until I found this place.
First timers. We booked a table for Mother's Day and was fairly impressed. Not the cheapest but well worth the money. The plates were full to the extent you couldnt get any more on them and the food was absolutely delicious. We will be eating there again
Perfect pub, especially if you find yourself waiting for the isle of wight ferries. Good food, good beer, good musicFood: 4/5
