There are almost not enough superlatives in the English language to describe how wonderful Plas Blaenddol is.  The houses are comfortable, well equipped and full of quirky charm and character.  Cooking for large groups is easy as there is plenty of space and an abundance of well maintained utensils, pots and pans and crockery.  The grounds are beautiful in their own right, and that's before you set foot outside to explore the area.  The games room now has a table football game as well as table-tennis which was well used by children and adults alike in our party of 17.  The hot-tub was great fun and a welcome sight after climbing Snowdon.  But I must reserve my highest praise for Kay and Paul, both of whom have been an utter delight to deal with from the moment I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this gem.  Booking before Covid struck, and with our booking smack in the middle of the UK lockdown required ultimately flexibility from our hosts and we finally managed to arrive two years after our original booking.  Nothing was too much trouble, Kay was welcoming but then happy to take a step back and give us space to enjoy our weekend. As owners, they have gone above and beyond what would be expected of them to help, support and provide advice even on matters related to our climb up Snowdon.  Thanks, both!  In summary, I can't praise and recommend this location enough for a delightful breakaway in this charming corner of North Wales.

An absolute great find. We have just come back from a fantastic week away at Plas Blaenddol. We stayed in Old Bell House. The house had everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. It housed all 9 of us very comfortably. The house is set in amazing gardens that you can just wander off and explore. Our hosts Kay and Paul were very accommodating and they left us to enjoy our holiday but were on hand when we needed them. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub. We can’t wait to return.

Fantastic facilities and location, handy for getting around and sooo peaceful. We used all three of the accommodations on offer for our large group, which worked brilliantly. They kindly attach a small torch to the keys so you can find your way back in the dark, which is very handy. Our group ranged in age from 2-70 and everyone was well and comfortably accommodated. I highly recommend this welcoming self catering holiday  let for your break in north Wales. X

Certainly one of my favourite places to get away from it all, perfectly situated between lakes, mountains and forest.  The house has a welcoming feeling and the rooms are perfect for relaxing and having a lazy afternoon with a good book.

Lovely cottage, excellent location in beautiful surroundings.  Would have preferred better quality of beds, mattress. Only let down otherwise lovely place for our family holiday.

Terrific place to go if you have big family. Premises are first class and plenty room. We all had a great time here.
