Amazing food, great menu and lovely staff. I’ve been a few times to this restaurant and have always been impressed. The staff were phenomenal. So friendly and good with my daughters. We all really enjoyed the food and the new app means you can earn rewards each time you visit. A lovely dinner and all round experience.
Went with ten people for a pre wedding celebration and the food, staff and location was amazing. They couldn't do enough for us and considering I had some fussy eaters in the group they definitely deserve 5 stars for patience and awesome service . Food was great. It has been a long time since I’d been to pizza express and this lived up to my expectations. Even though we reserved, the wait queue was crazy. We waited 45 mins. We couldn’t stay for desert as we ran out of time and were in no mood to drink. Kids were starving.
Every time i come to the restaurant I always have a great experience but yesterday despite being a busy Saturday service was quick and our waiter alisha was so attentive making sure we're satisfied. Would definitely come back again!
We went on Valentines Day and checked it at 20.13. We didn’t get our pizzas 2 of us until 21.35. The worst service I’ve ever had in a Pizza Express. The manager gave us a 25% reduction and apologised. We were ignored from the moment we got into the restaurant. The drinks order bottle of wine and water arrived after 20 mins without the water. Others were served ahead of us; then one of the Padana ingredients had ran out onion jam, we were notified after an hour.
Nice venue in a quieter part of Canterbury, very close to the Marlowe Theatre. Good food, very good service, my only issue was trying to access the free WiFi, which resulted in continual errors, more important since Mobile signal is truly dreadful. Otherwise a nice evening, pleasant experience.
Booked a table, when we arrived we were told the table would be a little late. Nearly 40 mins later without much of an explanation or apology, apart from when we chased it up, we were taken to our table. Staff seemed inexperienced and tired. Mains missed off and took a long time for everything. 2 hours 40 mins for some dough balls and pizza is not great.
I visited Pizza Express in Canterbury on Saturday 23 November 2019 in the evening. I was with one other person. This was my first visit to this Pizza Express. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with plenty of tables with full table service. The team were very friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I enjoyed dough balls for my starter, an American pizza for my main course and the festive Millionaire's Fudge Cake for my dessert. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. I used Tesco Clubcard vouchers so the food was exceptionally good value for money! As always with Pizza Express, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.
Our waiter unfortunately, we didn't get his name enhanced our experience. My mum has anxiety about being out in public and making mistakes and what I don't believe our waiter realised was that he made her feel relaxed and even made her laugh. He was patient and enabled her to make her own choices and feel confident for doing so even though she accidently ordered the wrong pizza and we had to re-order for her. She thoroughly enjoyed herself.
On my visit, the staters and drinks were served in about ten minutes. However, it took nearly an hour for our pizzas to be served. So overall, nearly 1 hour and a half from entering the restaurant, to being served our mains. Not great, especially as the restaurant wasn’t especially busy. Staff are friendly though.
