Good food for a great price. We had 3 courses for 12.95, you can’t go wrong with that! Customer service could have been better as the experience felt rushed even though it wasn’t busy.
Nice food, terrible service. Went tonight Saturday, table booked for 3 people and 6pm. It was quiet, only 8 tables of customers including us with no big tables and 4 people serving. Shouldn’t have been a problem....... Food was lovely no complaints there but it took someone 25mins to clear our main course plates from the table after repeatedly walking by. Not one person gave us eye contact to be able for us to ask. They did a very good job of making themselves look busy when they actually weren’t. We had chosen to do the set 3 course menu which due to their awful service we had to change to the two course menu as we had a movie booked at 8 and had no time for pudding. Two hours should be more than plenty to have dinner before a movie. I now know why the other restaurants were packed and this one was quiet, the service. It was my first time in a pizza express and it will certainly also be my last. I don’t not recommend this branch at all.
The food was amazing but the service was pants. Really inattentive waiting staff who asked if we wanted desert menus after starters and it took a good twenty minutes after we'd finished eating to clear our plates and ask if we would like anything else. Note that there were four tables in, two waitresses and a manager putting glasses away and doing paperwork. Such a shame because the atmosphere was lovely and calm, comfortable and I cannot praise the food enough. I would go there again but not if I had to be anywhere soon after!
Good service, pizza could have been hotter, Do wish the dressing on the salad had come in a small jug/container. There was too much of it for me, it did spoil the meal for me, but that's just my taste, my daughter had the same and enjoyed it, but agreed pizza could have been hotter.
Very nice food and the ability to use Tesco vouchers, made for a very cheap family meal out. We started without any cutlery on the table, so when our food came, we had to ask for some. As there were no glasses on the table, we had to take some from a table nearby. I'm all for a relaxed, steady meal, but there were long waits between courses and being brought the dessert menu and bill. Having said that, the overall experience was good though.
The food is average at best and highly overpriced. For a place that has "pizza" in its name, you'd think they'd do amazing pizzas, but I've had better from the pizza counter at Asda. It wasn't particularly busy the day we went, but the service was still sloppy. I'd be very happy never to go there again.
Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all at Pizza Express who made my daughters birthday so much fun! 16 girls aged 5/6 they loved making the pizza and the chef was very entertaining. We had a lot of laughs. Would highly recommend anyone thinking of having a party here. Excellent service, the girls were well looked after and we had the place to ourselves. Thank you Pizza Express Whiteley!!!
Shocking customer service, the waitress greeted us with all her fingers in our water glasses. Then forgot to bring part of the order. Pizza was nice hence the two stars but avoid this branch.
Most recent experience was not on par with other visits to pizza express. Staff all seemed on their break at once all sat at a table together. Service was slow when the restaurant was empty. We didnt recieve any check back and had to hunt down a staff member to try and pay our bill. Quality of food wasn't 100% what we would normally expect from pizza express. Hopefully this was a one off not the normal level of service /quality. If we had to decide on a place to eat in Whitley again, I might select one of the many other restaurants first.
We had good pizza here it was just massively let down by the poor service. Considering it was not a busy lunchtime at all we waited far too long between finishing the main meal and ordering dessert and then again after dessert to pay. There were about 5 staff members and they just seemed a bit disinterested. Shame as I like pizza Express but it would put me off returning.
