It was with some reservation that I made my first order after Shakil and Naeem left and I would say that the food has been hit and miss, but more hit than miss if I’m honest. However, tonight’s takeaway was so bad that I can’t help but comment. I ordered a chicken Jaipuri with extra capsicums at an extra cost of £1.00. I can buy two green peppers for £1.00 in any supermarket. I counted 4 pieces of green pepper - roughly a quarter of one - and this was meant to be additional to the onions and peppers the dish is supposed to come with anyway. I might have coped with that - it’s happened before - but the whole dish was ruined by the overwhelming taste of mushroom; if I were a vegetarian I dare say it would have been very agreeable. But where was the chicken? The spices? The green peppers? Who knows , but all I can say is this is one disappointment too many. I have always considered the Pir Mahal better than all other Indian restaurants in Hamilton, but my considered view is that it is no better than your local Spice of Death. And I honestly don’t say that lightly.

Poor food and service was a favrate restaurant for over 20years now rubbish dont waste your money
