I was meeting with a colleague and we chose this cafe to meet-up. It’s a good place to chill with friends and families. Coffee is great, my kids love their cookies. Food: 5/5
What an incredible little café! I'm a bit of a coffee snob these days so thought I'd come here as I'd heard their coffee was excellent, and they were right!! The coffee was to die for, fruity but not too much and was super balanced in acidity with no bitterness whatsoever! Oh, and the pan au chocolate was delicious too. The staff were really friendly and kind! Will definitely come back again, even on the regular!
I really enjoyed my peanut butter toast. I think the bread was possibly home-made. It tasted delicious. The coffee was perfect. The location was great. I really liked how they used to space within the cafe.Food: 5/5
Edit: Reducing the score as they changed the seats. They had lovely booths but they got rid of them and now have a long bench. The drinks still taste very good though. They’re spectacular. Drinks tasted amazing, and baristas and staff were so nice. Nice environment to work with laptops, toosadly customers aren’t allowed to use their laptop on weekends but this is very understandable. The cafe smelled good like coffee beans and music are not too loud. Would happily come back and try their cakes next time!
It is a really cute and cosy coffee shop. My only regret it is too popular and maybe add an option marshmallow for the hot chocolateFood: 4/5
It's a shame that a regular and well-known spot has become overpriced and lost the friendly approach and atmosphere many appreciate. My recent Feta and beetroot sandwich order at £7+ "London Prices” was excessive. I wanted a coffee to go with it but couldn't afford it…Food: 3/5
It was ok. Expensive for small cups of nice coffee. Service lacked any pizzazz today... Smiling is always a good experience for customers. Won't rush back, there's plenty of other coffee houses to try instead.Food: 3/5
The best coffee ever! paired with the worst customer service ! Staff are mostly depresso and angry. But keep coming back for the amazing coffee! But is the coffee good enough to encounter a goblin today that’s the thought process
Though not the best independent in Newcastle, they serve decent coffee a relatively small cup in fact and cakes. Their location next to the train station is also an advantage. Ps: A good spot to some works - the bar is not perfect to work on your laptop or read a book.
We popped into this little hole in the wall as we had an hour to kill before our train, and wanted to spend it somewhere other than a chilly train station in dismal weather. This was just across the way from the station. I had been once before quite a few years ago and remember getting their white hot chocolate. Still a nice tasty warm drink. The place has a quaint cozy chill atmosphere.
