Pillory House Coffee Shop

Fabulously cooked homemade food. More of a cosy home cooked restaurant than simply a coffee shop. We were very pleasantly surprised when we called in recently. I'm not normally a fan of quiche, but theirs was genuinely delicious. The pineapple quiche sounds odd, but I was forced to go half & half with my wife. Wish I'd had it all to myself ....nothing like I was expecting, but will be having it next time. The lemon meringue pie is a must! In fact, everything needs trying, but maybe not all at once. Loved the local art shop to browse through.

Amazing food and staff were so helpful. It is reasonably priced only let down was the loo needs updating and had stopped flushing but apart from that superb.

This is like an Aladdin's Cave with some great gift ideas in the shop and the coffee's great too! The website has even more great gifts available. I particularly like the "Festive Globe Arrangement" and "Christmas Candle Arrangement" table decorations and am trying to decide between them for my Christmas table. Of course I would love the "Crimson King Luxury Hamper" before Christmas, which would solve my Christmas shopping in one go (family members take note!) but I would settle for the "Sweet and Savoury Stacked Baskets" from any of you as a Christmas present!
