"We have sold out of our Yorkshire grown Christmas trees for the festive season so we are now closed.Our farm reared bronze turkeys are also sold out for Christmas.Horsforth PYO at Kemps Farm is a seasonal pick your own selling strawberries and raspberries in the summer and pumpkins in October. Online tickets booked in advance required for PYO fruit. Yorkshire grown Christmas trees and farm reared free range bronze turkeys also available for the Christmas festivities. Fantastic place to bring the kids! We had a great time and it was really busy to be fair. It costs £2 per person, but that cost is either towards the costs of the tractor rides - which was really cool and nostalgic - or subsidised towards the costs of the strawberries. Talking of strawberries. Wow. Fields of strawberries in all shapes, colours and sizes. It makes it more interesting that each strawberry is at a different part of the growing cycle, so it's like digging for treasure. Loved it and will be back soon. They have raspberries too.
This was me and my partners first time going pumpkin picking and I couldn't have had a better time, it was raining very badly but they were still open and very cheerful. There was a huge selection of pumpkins to choose from with a tractor ride to the other fields, the people working there gave us information about the pumpkins and which were best for carving and which were best for eating, all the staff were extremely helpful loading and unloading the pumpkins from the wheel barrows and into buckets to be paid for, I ended up with 7 pumpkins and they were very good for price we will 100% come back next year to pick our pumpkins and are even thinking of going to the strawberry picking in the summer because of the amazing experience we had today thank you so much!!!!!
Really nice pumpkin patch, they have a large assortment of all different kinds of pumpkins. Traditional orange, misshapen ones for halloween, white, red dark orange & blue. You can pick them from the vine rather than them hust being placed in a field, its reasonably priced, well organised and definitely worth a visit to get into the Autumn feeling. Highly recommend.
An absolutely wonderful experience for a day with the family. You start with a tractor ride to the pumpkin picking area. You take a wheel barrow and follow the one way path through all the pumpkins. They are different sizes and types orange white red and blue ones. You pay and enter the area where you can carve the pumpkins you can buy the carving kits from the paying area. There are also options for snacks hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and face painting. They accept card so don't worry. Such a wonderful experience see you next time. A must go!
Great experience, from the arrival and quick admission onto the tractor, to the pumpkin field to the face painting. Hot food options had a bit of a wait, so we swapped to hot chocolate and brownies instead which is no bad thing as it didn't affect the kids appetites for dinner too much. Good choice of pumpkins and not too busy. A few photo opportunities and hiding places to jump up and shout boo across the patches/site.
Kids loved it. Adults weren't so keen on the most expensive strawbs in Yorkshire but they tasted so good they soon forgot what it was they forgot. There's a seating and small play area for the kids with hay bales and tractor and a giant strawberry Also on sale food and ice creams.
Nice ripe strawberries. Decent price. We had to book online our slot but then it was fast and easy to get in and not too busy. It was a very hot sunny day and not much shade maybe they could add that to the refreshing area. Also I couldn't spot any portable loos last time we went for pumpkins picking they had one. Ice cream, drinks and burgers to take home on sale. Also tractor ride for an extra.
Great day out, kids lived it I enjoyed it a bit more than kids . Staff are great very good sense of humour and friendly. Ice creams are the best too. Loved the ride on the tractor, the guys were amazing the whole staff team is just a perfect family and made us feel like part of the family too. Highly recommend
I booked online for a time slot which was very simple to do and tickets are free. They check tickets at entry so have them ready either on mobile or printed out. I assume this is to keep with social distancing rules and limit amount of people. There wasn't much strawberries left..but we did manage to get half a tub which I paid £3.40 for. The experience and location was worth the trip. We picked a few sunflowers which were £1 or £1.50 for the taller ones. Staff polite and welcoming. They had an onsite place to buy drinks, jam, and ice cream. My family enjoyed the day out and would definitely visit again.
Ohh we just loved the experience of picking strawberries n raspberries from the farm. My son was so excited, he even played with the pigs n sheeps present there in the farm. Fruits were delicious I would definitely recommend everyone to go there atleast once.
