We came for a walk around Skelton Lakes and popped into Sourced Market for a cuppa and pastries! They sell a good range of locally sourced products which is fantastic for a service station! The staff are friendly and efficient! We took home this peanut butter cruffin muffin/croissant and it was amazing!! So much so that we came back the following week for another! This time, we brought back the malted milk praline cruffin!! Again, it was delicious!! I’ll definitely be popping in again for another visit!!
Lovely selection of drinks, food, and other nice bits. Friendly staff, all very covid safe. Visited at 5pm, and still had plenty of choices.
Had Sunday breakfast with a friend. The full English was substantial, with two of sausages, bacon, black pudding, sourdough toast and tomato, plus baked beans. Delicious and good quality food, Despite being ahead of the morning rush and the food being reheated to order, it was tepid at best. Drinks had to be ordered separately. Although I asked for a hot chocolate and I corrected the member of staff when she rang up a latte, I still ended up with a latte, but couldn't be bothered to argue, as it took ages to get get both drinks ready. Service friendly, just need to focus on listening skills and serving food at a suitable temperature
Incredible coffee; wonderful staff; awesome hideaway. I just love that it feels like your local cafe but with the added bonus of being able to buy top quality barista coffee, baked and cooked food, quirky and interesting sourced products, as well as beer and wine at the bar. A server called Seb asked me about my day a few weeks ago, and has recognised me and checked in on how my busy workload is going with every visit I've made since. Attention to customers like this can make a service station your new, favourite refuge spot, trumping your previously-loved neighbourhood cafes!
What a wonderful surprise! Staff were super helpful and so much wonderful local produce to choose from. All this in a motorway service station. I will be driving more regularly if this becomes the food standard that motorway service stations start setting! Well done.
Stopped here by chance on way home from North Yorks. Great freshly cooked full breakfast with toast and tea at a motorway services!! Breakfast for two under £18 which isn't pricey. Staff friendly and helpful.
Staff are quite rude, and non engaging, 1 occasion waited 10 mins at an empty till to be served, considering no other customers in unit and huge amount of staff presence, only saving grace is, staff member Lee. Great chap with amazing customer service, everyone else can learn a thing or 2 from him!!
Coffee is great, however they fill their coffee right to the top and I always spill it, I understand that people would complain about it not being filled right to the top but for me just a little room will be perfect, last time I was here I spilt it all down myself, over my wallet and my computer. Just perfect : Bought a ham and cheese sandwich, the bread was like a rock but the ham and cheese was great. Just wish I had not spilt the coffee and I do not think I would get upset about this place. Great staff!
I chose to use the service area for a brief meeting, following which I joined my wife for a coffee. Chloe & her colleague - possibly Molly - produced the most wonderful latte together with cheerful conversation/banter & dazzling smiles, giving overall a wonderful customer service experience. Extra have obviously spent a fortune in the design & build, using natural wood & stone, with the flowing lines of the external roof producing a truly calming effect & a lovely relaxing break from the rigours of a hectic life. Overall it's a lovely ambiance, far removed from the semi-industrial feel of so many Services. This multi-franchised MSA is, surely, a winner.
Wow what a find! What a beautiful motorway services & Sourced Market is the perfect addition, very friendly team every time we visit, the selection of fresh sandwiches & cakes are always tasty! Also the coffee is fab! Love the local sourced vibe & must say the service we received last visit from Lee was superb!
