Plenty of fresh food with range of different eggs, pie's, olives, pastry, jams and there's a butcher stall. All farmers of course. Its not just for adults but kids as well, my kids love it. They get to see what farmers/local community can produce without going to supermarket. Its always fun day and they even have live band playing music which is wonderful. Worth going to.
High quality food, friendly stall holders, a place where you can actually ask questions about the food your buying, rather than reading a label & still not knowing. Very well organised, probably the best farmers market in Yorkshire. Don’t believe me ? Try it for yourself, all the details are on there website, so you have no excuse to get the date wrong, oh and take plenty of money, there’s so much to choose from you will need plenty of shopping bags as everything is sooooo good.
HMM this message for Indians there are no Indian vegetables available here except onions and Allu's and tamatos.
Pro: very fresh sweet fruits. Cons: Due to the covid, customers cannot go into the shop, but queue outside to pay. You would think just paying for 2 items, how long it could be and should be even easier than going to supermarket local shop... WRONG decision and assumption! Two shopkeepers serving one housewife at a time. One picks and brings a tomato to the other pressing many buttons on the scale to weigh an item. Each housewife buys at least a big bag biggest reusable strong supermarket bag/ willow basket full of many different items. Both enjoyed this service for 10 mins. Finally, my turn, the shopkeeper just couldn’t press the right buttons for my apples, argh... and that amount of money I paid, I could have got more than twice the amount in other local grocery shops.
Lovely local market with lots of lovely local foodstuffs. Cheese, meats and oils are plentiful
Excellent local farmer's market with good choice of stalls including an excellent cheese stall.
Bassa bassa playing, choir singing, the honey stall is so good, the eggs are the best, fresh fish, pies, cheese, bread the list goes on
A range of wonderful stalls - and it always has a lively atmosphere.
The one in Chapel Allerton is so much better!
Lovely people. Good food. Great location with hi "visibilty". Good music too sometimes.
