We popped in without a reservation but they managed to accommodate us! Everything we got was delicious and we loved every detail. The garlic bread was my favourite! My husband loved the lasagne, very creamy and cheesy.. The dessert was amazing, unlike any other cheese cake we’d had before!
Had to share what a fantastic meal we have had this evening. The staff went above and beyond to fit us in as we had not pre booked, we were so grateful and genuinely lost count how many others were turned away as they were so busy. The food was beautiful, tasty, authentic and served well. The service from every single member of the team was also outstanding. Thank you for fitting us in, myself and my husband will be back.
Accommodated us for a birthday reservation as a party of 4 at less than 24 hour notice on a busy Saturday night - the restaurant is quite small inside so this was appreciated. Food was lovely and quick to come out, both starters and mains we were too full for desert and the service was great and very attentive. Ordered garlic prawns for starter and then creamy chicken main with vegetables, chips on the side. Others got gnocchi starter best dish on our table, bruschetta and mains salmon and a pasta, all were enjoyed. One very small criticism is that for the chicken dishes the chips/potatoes would have been preferred to be presented on the side instead of underneath the sauce, as it made these elements soggy. We will be back if we fancy Italian in Sheffield City Centre.
I don’t know if I have ever had a better service experience than this. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Genuine conversations. The food is exactly what you would expect from an Italian restaurant with special details that left us full and satisfied. Small and quaint location with simple Italian decor. Great all around experience. Thank you Piccolo’s!
I ordered lasagna for the first time in piccolos today, but it's too creamy for me. When the blonde haired waitress asked me how's it, I said that it was too creamy to my taste. But only to me doesn't mean it's bad. Before I finished talking, she shouted at me very angrily, "if you don't like Lasagna then why did you order lasagna?" Every lasagna I had in other restaurants was good. I said it's my first time to order it here. She still stressed that it's my fault. The owner replied me but the previous negative comment was removed by them. Here is the picture of owners comment, and the truth is we paid all dishes which can be checked on my bank. You can see the owner kept saying it's my mistake and do not agree that everyone has different taste. I feel if you can't accept customers reviews and improve yourself, please don't ask if they like the food. You should accept the diversity of customers flavor and respect all customers.
My favourite italian restaurant in sheffield! I have visited Italy a few times and can say the food comes perfectly close! I highly recommend this restaurant especially as the service is so lovely and welcoming.Food: 5/5
Second visit whilst staying in Sheffield. Cosy restaurant, Food is superb, and service excellent, Staff really attentive and offer advice on choices. Emma was an excellent host and although busy service was excellent Would definitely recommend and return again.Food: 5/5
Had a fantastic time at the restaurant! Food quality was outstanding, every dish was delicious in its own style, service was no exception. Trust me, my comments are not just boasts. The place is definitely romantic. This now became one of my favorite restaurants in the UK. Thanks Piccolo's ! Vegetarian options: Though we tried Non-vegetarian dish there are equally interesting options in the vegetarian recipes as well.

I’ll recommend this Italian restaurant for everyone! I love the rose wine called “kissing tree…”, the risotto is creamy which is my favourite, patacota I’m not sure if the spelling is correct is like a pudding with ice cream, it’s really really really good!!!
