I came for to this shop to receive a phone repair service screen replacement. After 1 hour the worker returned me the phone with new screen but a touch screen function was not working properly.very slow I asked for replacement or I said I did not want to pay for this poor quality service. They took my phone and did not want to return it to me until I pay. I asked to call the owner. The owner came and told me that there is no solution for me and offered to pay with 50% discount, but I denied this offer as my phone was not working properly which means I have to repair it in another place again and spend more money. The owner eventually returned my phone to me with my original broken screen it was more broken than before and they said that if I am not happy with their service the only thing they can do is to take my written complain and send it to owner personal email. Which did not guarantee me anything so I received my phone with broken screen but it is not working anymore - screen is just black. I am not able to use it and they did not installed it correctly. So to summarize the situation- I came to this shop with fully working phone but with small crack on the screen and received it fully smashed with not working touch screen just black screen. See photo below how my phone looks now…
AVOID. I took my iphone to a different shop who said it was an issue with the mainboard and couldn't be fixed. I came here for a second opinion and they told me it was the charging port that was the issue when I knew fine well the phone was charging no bother. Sick of being messed around, I went to the apple store and they confirmed it was an issue with the mainboard and couldn't be fixed.
Avoid this shop at all costs! Took my Sony M5 in for a new screen. After receiving my phone and paying £80! I was shocked to find my phone hadn't even been given the right screen. My front camera was left uncovered and my ear piece had also been covered. I asked why my camera had no protection and the guy just said that was all they could get from their supplier. I told him it needed covered and his solution was to cut a bit of screen protector off and use that as a cover. Ridiculous. Also didn't notice until I started using the phone, but my screen goes black whenever I call someone/take a call and sometimes it's hard to hang up. Not sure what they've done to the sensors. The adhesive they've used was also rugged around the edges. Poor craftsmanship all round. All in all I would steer very clear of this place. I never leave reviews but I'm still so angry about this.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Absolute cheek to call themselves phone experts. My partner took her phone to get a new screen on it. Took £240 for the pleasure. When she got the phone back she was told not use it for 24 hours to let the glue set apparently. 24 hours past and when she turned it on it was very glichy and events started to press buttons on its own. Took it back to the shop and told us she' must hsve dropped it and won't fix it which she hadn't Took it to another shop and was told that they put the wrong screen on it. Took in the phone for a new battery. Cheap price and fast service so I went for it, but should have known better. Poor customer service skills throughout. They agree to replace it if the new battery starts dropping its charge within the first 2 weeks. It started dropping its charge wouldn't last a day despite minimal use after 2.5 weeks. They scratched the screen during changing the battery, and denied it was them. Technician was conveniently out of the shop for 20minutes when I arrived back and questioned them on it. Waited for him and he still denied. Said he holds the screen in one hand whilst he removes the battery with the other. I've watched videos of how you replace the battery and you need 2 hands to do that delicately, so they advise carefully supporting the screen using a band and box at the side. I should have taken a video of the phone before handing it over. Then 1 day after they give it back, a new crack appears at the top of the screen. A week later the top half of the screen now no longer works. All a co-incidence? Maybe, but I will never go back, and don't advise you use them either.
After seeing the high review score by the way, have a wee look at the five positive reviews, they all seem to be written in a similar way. The only two genuine reviews highlight the exact same problems I experienced, I took my phone in to get a cracked screen replaced. I was told to come back a little later that day and that it would be sorted, which it wasn't. The next day I went in and was told that a part was needed and they were waiting for it to be delivered, so again I had to go away and come back. When I did get my phone back I initially was just happy to have it back and paid the £90 fee. But on closer inspection the phone seemed to have been repaired poorly. Various problems began occurring such as the screen going blank when answering or making a phone call. Soon after the screen started cracking again, having not have been put on properly. I took it back in and asked for a partial refund, but was told to come back when the manager was in the shop. When I did speak to the manager she refused to give me any of my money back, stating that the phone had worked when I got it back which is technically true. They offered to take my phone back in but I didn't dare leave it again. I'm not happy spending money I've worked hard for on shoddy workmanship. Customer service is also poor. I took my phone to TechBytes on Duke Street, what a difference. The guy who worked there had stated how poorly the repair was and how they had used far too much of and the wrong kind of adhesive. Beyond shoddy. Reported to trading standards, feel free to do the same.
These guys are basically running an ongoing fraud. They replace your parts with fakes and non-manufacturer parts. They lie about the work they complete. They overcharge and don't do the work they promise. They go by two separate names- Phone Expert and they have a document on their wall behind the cash register with the name of Fone Zone. They give you receipts that are vague and have products on them instead of accurately describing the service performed. Everything about this store is a scam. I went in because I was having charging issues on my Droid Turbo 2. They charged me £25 and told me they had opened it up and cleaned it thoroughly and replaced a part. The phone was still having charging problems, so I took it to another shop. I discovered that Phone Expert lied to me. They didn't even open up or clean my phone. They didn't even replace the part. I went back to Phone Expert and confronted them. They said they had replaced the part. I asked them for proof, what part number, etc...They told me that it's all "proprietary." The receipt they gave me did not describe anything, it just had an iPad cover for £25. This whole business is a scam. They are petty thieves, conducting an ongoing fraud and they should be investigated. I'm curious as to their actual qualifications to repair hardware and I'm curious as to how many people they have scammed. Giving fake receipts and not performing promised services is the definition of fraud. Also, I bet they are manipulating their reviews. If you look at the review distribution, most reviews are either 1-star or 5-star. That tells me that these fraudsters are posting fake reviews/manipulating reviews.
The worst phone repair I have ever encountered. My screen was broken so went in to get it repaired. Firstly, the repair took two days then when I received the phone back the whole casing was chipped as they had used tools to pry the old screen out and the new screen was chipped, also when trying to use the phone to make calls it's went blank. The manager was not in store so I spoke to him on the phone, extremely rude man who treats people as if they're stupid. Absolutely appalling that they're allowed to operate a service like this.
Dropped my sons phone in the bath tub, have not bought a phone for years so used to contracts. Went the guys here not only did they seek me an almost brand new iPhone 5s for a great deal, they also sort my son with screen protector and a charger in the price, when I need anything again this is the place I’m going. Thanks guys. Made my son real happy and saved my a few quid.
