Visited here with friends. Food was lovely couldn't fault it. Just a shame they didn't have a vegetarian option for Sunday lunch or a vegetarian gravy. We had a plate of vegetable but was still charged the full price. Like I said the food was lovely but these days everyone should be catering for vegetarians
Out in the wilds. Lovely spot in the summer ? Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good. Meat comes on a platter for your group. Vegetables arrive in a tureen. Good selection of wine and beer. Very pleasant evening.
Great to see this community run pub eatery thriving. Worth a drive to get to it. Excellent food, well cooked and full of flavour. Sadly only one real ale on draught & that didn't last. Staff attentive & efficient to greet, seat and take initial order. Portion sizes are reasonable too. Dogs are also welcome
Everything that the reviews mentioned on trip advisor will were spot on! Lovely setting, and great manner from the staff, and & Oh my, the food was excellent! Thank you for providing a very warm welcome & looking after us through the evening
Lovely pub, with some unique Festive decor.. A teensy weensy bit expensive maybe? But very attractively-presented, and tasty food plus good service more than makes up for that!
We were a party of 7 and all but 1 ordered the beef but when it came we only had 1 slice each. Also the the eating area was very cold and could not relax this is the 7 time we visited and encounter these issues
Wonderful meal couldn't fault it...wine lovely... Staff lovely and attentive... I do have to mention though that the portion of brioche served with the duck parfait was really meagre... Not nearly enough to enjoy at least half of the remaining parfait... We requested another tiny portion of bread each and £2.00 was added to our bill!! We did feel this additional charge was very miserly and excessive...apart from that everything was faultless.... Sorry guys.
Been here 3 times and the last time was even better - 9/10 Roast dinner, really lovely interior, friendly staff and a really tasty roast dinner. Sat by the fire, nicest food in a long while - will be back!
