I've been going to Pets at Home for 4 years. I've never had a bad experience until recently, so I would still rate them highly. However, this is my experience... I wanted to buy 4 gerbils together. Gerbils fight if they are put in with other unfamiliar gerbils so I was unable to have the two from the shop floor and two from the back of the shop. They had six at the back that were ready to go and we also had our cage ready to welcome them. The Manager refused to let us have them I until the two were sold from the shop floor. Apparently this is 'Pets At Home policy'....funny that as I went to Chippenham store who released 4 beautiful gerbils who said it wasn't policy and couldn't understand Trowbridge's thinking as animals are happier in a loving home rather than stored at the back of shop. Nonetheless, Digger, Bumble, Snuffles and Reggie are all very much loved and doing well!

Went to buy cat litter and the bag was huge and heavy. The staff were excellent and not only carried it to the checkout they then put it in my car. Very polite and terrific service.

Excellent service from Shannon Player at the Trowbridge store, through her knowledge ( based on our description of the symptoms, Shannon immediately knew what the problem was) and excellent customer service we were encouraged to try the Interpet swim bladder treatment for our very poorly goldfish. The treatment has worked and we know have a fully recovered and healthy fish.

Super friendly staff, good selection and appears to be a vrry well managed store. Also has a grooming service and in house vets. There are a lot of high-end products that are expensive but there were also reasonably priced options as well.

They are excellent, helpful people and my cat (diesel) enjoys visit them :) recommended
