Josh at Groom Room in Pets at Home Parkhead was fabulous with my puppy Gracies first groom. Treated her like a VIP and was so enthusiastic. Couldn't have wished for any better 1st groom experience for Gracie. The other groomers were also lovely and made us feel very welcome .
in August I bought a Russian hamster for my Son, the gentleman who advised me was an experienced seller and suggested a cage that would be suitable for him. After a few months we bought a second hamster with the same cage. I got information from various stores. We also bought a wheel in which the hamster runs around the house every day. today my son wanted another hamster with a new cage, of course, but a very unpleasant woman said that we can't because the cage is too small. I said that we have an adult hamster and these hamsters are small and such a cage is definitely enough. Another woman came who thought we had to buy a bigger cage after 5 months. what should I do with the cages I bought earlier, I could have bought a bigger cage right away. but it was a stupid text from that rude woman who told us to leave the store. my 12 year old son was surprised by the service and lies we heard. We were customers twice and everyone recommended this cage, we were now in a different store and everyone confirms that this cage is sufficient. besides, there are no other cages for this type of hamster. People like this should not work there, especially since the child is also a customer
Went to get my dog a new harness and ended up buying one that fitted perfectly, with the help of the staff, I must have came home with half the shop lol, I didn't realise how much more stuff I wanted so ended up buying it all, this store is great just about caters for every pet, plus it's ok to take your pet into the store with you which is great I would recommend going here if your needing any pet supplies
This store sold me a young leopard gecko in early January and provided me with what we believed was acceptable living environment and general care. As a first time reptile owner I didn't know what red flags to look for and assumed that two young geckos living together was okay, it is not. After the first month or so of owning my gecko i noticed she was looking thinner than when I brought her home and she wasn't growing the way she should have been. We tried changing her diet but this didn't help and she was rapidly losing weight so we went back to the store for some advice. I brought a photograph of my gecko when she was purchased and another of her at that date 21/03/23 and was fold she looked "a bit on the thin side" and was told to change her diet again, so we did. Fast forward to now 06/04/23 there had been no improvement so we took her to see a vet. The vet told us that she was severely emaciated and was likely suffering from a parasite which would kill her in a matter of days and we wouldnt be able to treat. This parasite Cryptosporidium could only have been given to her by another reptile meaning she already would have been infected when we bought her from this store. We had to make the decision to euthanize her after 3 months of owning and loving her all because of the inocorrect living conditions provided when she was in this store. SO in conclusion, if you decide to buy a leopard gecko from this store, its probably already dying.
Sold me a rescue syrian hamster that they said was a boy , it wasn't. It was a girl. Female syrian hamsters have a totally different temperament from males. They also sell cages that are far too small for syrian hamsters. So the hamster goes crazy in it. Staff are nice but really need to be educated in the basics of small animals.
Great shop to buy anything for a lot of different types of pets. I have 2 Amazon parrots & 2 dogs & I buy everything for them from here. The only thing would be if they sold more toys for medium & large sized parrots but other than that they have everything & even have an instore vets.
Great store. Had everything I needed to buy a hamster for my son. Friendly and helpful personal. Will definitely keep going there!
It has the necessary items for any pet but it's really expensive. They also never have any carefresh pet bedding in stock which is one of the reasons I need to go. Otherwise an easy, central location and they have a good choice of pets even though they're known for not providing the best pet advice and I've heard of people being sold sick pets.
Good selection of products decent staff but the vet clinic is top notch!
