Pétrus is a restaurant in London, which serves Modern French cuisine. It is located in Kinnerton Street, Belgravia and is part of Gordon Ramsay restaurants owned by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's Kavalake Limited. It has held one Michelin star since 2011, and five AA Rosettes.DescriptionThe current Pétrus restaurant is located in 1 Kinnerton Street, Belgravia, London, where it was opened on 29 March 2010 under Head Chef Sean Burbidge. He had worked in other Gordon Ramsay restaurants including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Gordon Ramsay au Trianon, but it is his first position as head chef. Currently head chef is Larry Jayasekara, who in 2016 won the prestigious National Chef of the Year competition.The interior of the restaurant has been designed by the Russell Sage Studio, who also worked on other Ramsay establishments, The Savoy Grill and the York and Albany. The claret red theme of previous incarnations of the restaurant has been maintained, and was coupled in the design with leather and polished metalwork. The layout includes a chef's table for six people which overlooks the kitchen. The wine list includes more than 2,000 bottles of wine, and includes 34 different vintages of the French wine Pétrus. They are located in a circular glass room located in the middle of the dining room.

The moment we entered last night, to the time of departure we were whisked away on an impeccable service and culinary journey fit for royalty. Most of the world’s esteemed, celebrated chefs have gone corporate, and have lost control of the quality and service you come to expect from a Michelin star establishment but not chef Ramsay at Petrus. The staff in the front and back of the house are trained at the highest level. In closing the pictures speak for themselves. Photography is clearly not a strength of mine but the pictures tell the story.
From the second we walked in, I was in awe. The staff and chefs are clearly magicians- absolutely brilliant. First off we had a quiet table in a corner was had so many beautiful orchid flowers on display behind us. We Americans were splurging ourselves in celebration of our wedding anniversary. There was a card for us on the table that all the staff signed!! It was the nicest gesture. The food- the food was nothing short of spectacular! I couldn’t decide what to eat so we tried it all getting 1 of each curated menu. And it was not a mistake! The presentation of the food was extremely precise. My favorite was watching the staff place the food in front of me. It was a dance, everyone knew what to do in a special way. The person even holding the tray even took a step back so the waiter/waitress can move around the table. Everyone was so professional. Like extremely. We got a few of them to loosen up around us, by making small jokes. I had asked if they had to play rock paper scissors to decide who holds the tray . That indeed earned some chuckles and smiles The sommelier was knowledgable and man did she bring some pretty amazing wines! I can’t wait to get home and order some bottles! The lighting was mood lighting so yes I know my photos are of poor quality but the food was SO good and in my opinion up to Ramsey’s standards- he should be proud of the staff here, they deserve so much praise
The food is so mediocre, even among the normal restaurants. The light and atmosphere is very perfunctory. We ordered prestige and discovery menu and the only good dish is prestige menu pre-dessert. The service is very good though.Food: 2/5
Not enough stars available to give Milena our wonderful sommelier. Fantastic service from everyone but Milena topped the lot. The chef was also top class and food was out of this world, a phenomenal dining experience.Food: 5/5
Delightful experience. We had 2 Discovery and 1 Prestige menus. The array of foods was exquisite with wonderful flavors and interesting combinations. Several additional amuse bouche and canapes included as well. Incredible wine list too. Service was impeccable and friendly. Great pace to the evening. We never felt rushed and took over 2 hours to complete the meal. Nothing pretentious and comfortable setting. Loved this gastric journey.
A very enjoyable afternoon of dining. We had the lunch menu. Very impressive dishes bursting with flavour along with exceptional service standards. We enjoyed a long afternoon in this beautiful restaurant. No rush and plenty of time to enjoy some splendid wines, champagne and gins. The cheese board was perhaps the best I have ever had!
Pétrus is everything you hoped an intimate Michelin dining experience would be: well decorated interior, painstaking attention to detail, almost outlandish attentiveness of staff, and impeccable food. Highly recommend the tasting menu. I went with the prestige, which features scallop, dover sole, chicken, morel mushroom, among many other wonderful ingredients. Would highly recommend.
Service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Felt like every employee was there just for you. All super warm and receptive and accommodating with dietary restrictions/questions. Food was exquisite as well. First bite to inquire, second bite to enjoy! Cleaned plate on everything. Great treat for fine dining. 5*
Came here with not very high expectations reading the reviews, still I felt I needed to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The dishes were amazing. Flavors and ingredients combined on a way to tease your senses. Not much to add, just it is worth to try. Stuff was very attentive and kind.Food: 5/5
I had dinner here tonight and i felt small. Very small to be surrounded by culinary superstars while i know nothing about fine dining at all. The food was excellent. Even things i usually dont really like are made to perfection and several times i felt grateful to be able to taste it. The staff was super friendly and professional. So also big complement to each and everyone of them! The prices are high but i heard Gordon Ramsay just had another baby so i guess he needs all the financial support he can get!
