A real hidden gem of the area. It smelled amazing when I was walking by so had to stop to try out whatever smelled so great. Turns out it was homemade gozleme. It tasted fantastic. The atmosphere of the cafe is so welcoming and homey. The owner and his mother were so nice and friendly. It was such a lovely experience to dine here!
I went there for food and got much more out of my visit. What a friendly, welcoming place! What drew me to this place, as I was passing by was the lady owner making stuffed Turkish flatbreads- Gozleme. Delightfully tasty, you can choose from vegetarian, non-vegetarian and vegan options. I also ordered a salad box with mine their salad boxes are very popular and of course healthy!. The owners were chatty and made me feel very welcome. Despite reduced seating space, they still accommodates me and considered my special requests. Will definitely recommend.
Nice cute little spot. However wasn't that happy with the breakfast as we asked if the food was halal to which he replied yes but when we wanted to order a full English he mentioned there's bacon. We should of been informed from the beginning that everything is halal however they also do bacon. Also the Mediterranean Breakfast was rather basic with no Turkish bread, no halloumi even no cooked eggs. Nothing on the breakfast was cooked. A bit overpriced for a very basic breakfast. However the guy was really friendly and accommodated us by opening up the doors so we can make space for our bikes. And the coffee is great and the chicken escalope panini with sun-dried tomoto was nice. Will suggest really reviewing the breakfast and providing some halal options of sausages, cooked eggs, different types of cheese and fresh Turkish bread.
Been visiting for years. Friendly staff, nice basic food, perfect tuna sandwiches, lovely coffee. Interesting array of art on the wall. No loo.
Food is amazing and the best coffee in stokey!
An egg mayo sandwich. What can go wrong? I don’t know but the man who made mine produced something quite remarkable. Totally inedible. It was sliced egg with plenty, seasoning, tons of sour-tasting mayo and two slices of white bread. I took it to go and didn’t return to complain so excuse me for this but it was disgusting. I don’t get it. Won’t ever go back. So many better options around.
Lovely staff beautiful food best coffee in church street
Walking past yesterday I noticed a very yummy looking cake in the window - peanut butter and chocolate...yes please...The chap serving was accommodating and able to provide a decaff americano with oat milk on the side when in Stokey... even asking me if I'd like the milk hot or cold! Both beverage and cake were particularly good. Recommended.
Really delicious, affordable food and run by a lovely family
Very Friendly people, great coffee and a variety of different foods including Turkish Pastries. One of my favourite cafes to go to in Hackney. Would 100% recommend
