I recently visited the Ford dealership in Great Yarmouth after my van failed its MOT due to an emissions issue. My van is part of a manufacturer recall for this fault, so I expected the recall to be checked under warranty.nnWhen I arrived, I was told I had to pay £140 for a diagnostic test. I explained that this didn’t seem fair for a recall-related fault. The man at the service desk — a gentleman around his mid-60s, wearing glasses — became rude, sarcastic, and visibly annoyed. It immediately made me uncomfortable, especially as I was simply asking a reasonable question.nnHe eventually agreed to check only the recall item, but made it very clear he wasn’t happy about it.nnWhen I returned two hours later, he deliberately covered up my diagnostic paperwork and told me I wasn’t allowed to see anything because I hadn’t paid. He said the recall part wasn’t the issue, but refused to explain what was wrong with the van. His attitude was smug, dismissive, and completely unhelpful.nnHe then insulted the garage that originally carried out my MOT — a garage I’ve used and trusted for 15 years. This was unprofessional and unnecessary.nnBecause I didn’t trust the information I was given, I took my van to another Ford dealership. They treated me with respect, explained the problem properly, and repaired the emissions sensor free of charge under the recall — exactly as expected.nnMy experience at the Great Yarmouth dealership left me feeling that the staff member I dealt with was not honest with me and was more focused on trying to charge unnecessary fees than actually helping. Based on this visit, I personally would not trust this branch with my vehicles. They left me with the impression they are more interested in money than customer service.nnI have five vans of the same model that all need recall work, but none of them will be going to the Great Yarmouth Ford dealership.

Ok experience but didn't really feel that my car was important to them. When asking how long they thought it would be I was given a speech about how much work had been done on the car previously and how long did I think it was going to take to check all that? Fair point but I'd have preferred a rough guess and a polite 'we'll call you asap'  One part I needed checking out wasn't connected so came up faulty. If they'd checked that first it might have been a different story. Parts department very helpful and professional.nPretty much what you would expect from a main dealer these days. I'll go back if I can't sort things elsewhere.

The experience of purchasing a new Ford Ranger from Pertwee & Back of Gt Yarmouth was smooth from start to finish. Tom was very knowledgeable, helpful & efficient. Excellent service also received from The Team when my previous truck required servicing. Great company.

Best of good service we rang to order a part. When we arrived the part was waiting and the Service director fitted it as there was not an engineer available!nThank you Nick Collar you deserve 5 Stars!
