I went to the Pentre Arms with an old friend for a quick couple of beers. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and a pleasant welcome chat from the bar person. We didn't use the rooms so I can't review them but, if the bar and restaurant areas are anything to go by, then the rooms will be very clean and comfortable. The bar area has a large plate glass window which overlooks the beach and various tables and chairs which are nice and cosy. There is a pool table and fruit machine at the rear of the bar past which is the Gents toilet. The ladies toilet is through the restaurant. All in all this is a lovely pub/restaurant which is suited to both young and old. The food and drinks here are very good and reasonably priced. The menu is varied and the bar has a good selection of draught beers and it's well stocked with other drinks. I would imagine that this place will be absolutely heaving in the summer and in the school holidays so I would definitely advise booking if you are coming here for a meal in the bar area or even in the restaurant. The beach across the quiet road is a sandy beach with a few stones and a stream which runs runs across it. Also, when the tide goes out, you can walk to the right of the big rock on the beach and then you will be on another little beach in a cove. There is also a small cave that your children can investigate. My friend and I will be coming here again for a couple of beers and a good chat sometime soon as it's also nice and quiet during the working week if that's what you want . We both recommend the Pentre Arms at Llangrannog for eating or drinking or both and also, with children or without them.
Happened purely by chance upon the Pentre Arms this evening. We were in the area and heard of the fantastic beach, so we popped down to investigate. Being a Sunday, nothing was open, but as we turned the corner after parking up, there was the Pentre Arms…the only life in the village it seemed! We had nothing planned for dinner and was thinking we would have to go to Londis and cook in our Airbnb. But no….the Pentre Arms is not just a B&B….it serves food! And oh my goodness…..the food is fantastic! I had the steak and kidney pie and my partner had the burger. Neither of us were disappointed. Staff were so friendly and welcoming….can’t recommend highly enough. This place is a little gem!
What a great pub, so close to the see too. Great beer lovely food warm and cosy bar in late December always packed with locals and tourists best atmosphere in Llangranog.Service: 5/5
Staff so friendly it's a pleasure to give them money. Always great service, we walked 4 miles from a neighbouring town to visit. Great food, great drink, pool table, sea view. There is nothing more you could ask for.Rooms: 5/5
