Rachel painted and transformed an old dark wood hall table and breathed new life into it. It’s absolutely beautiful and I’m thrilled with the result. She understood my idea to create something vibrant, to bring flowers and nature into the house. I couldn’t have imagined it could be so lovely. Thanks to Rachel at Penny Pieces I can treasure this old table again.
A wonderful place with warm, welcoming, and very helpful staff. Along with beautiful gifts, and items for the home, they also supply all your upcycling needs; whether you would like to take on your own 'Frenchic' project, or would prefer the professionals to complete it for you.
Always passed this place , but called in for the first time just to see what was there. A very helpful lady was at hand telling up about the shop. Loved the hand painted furniture , some lovely gift ideas. Definitely worth a visit.

I've been looking for a rustic vintage style lantern to complete my newly decorated lounge, and Penny Pieces had the perfect one. Staff were very helpful, friendly and gave a high standard of service. The shop is full of so many other beautiful pieces, from small trinkets to big furnishings, that I'll be going back. A great hidden gem in Ponteland for gifts and self-gifting!
What a gem of a shop! Something in there for everyone. A huge selction and lovely staff. It was like finding Alladins Cave. Loved it!
What fabulous customer service Rachel and her family offer. Nothing is too much trouble even during lockdown Rachel managed to get my paint and even allowed me to collect from her home when the shop was closed safe distancing of course. Rachel offers hints and tips to any problems encountered. I would recommend everyone to visit this fantastic little gem of a shop. My go to place for all my frenchic
So thrilled with the work Rachel has done painting and updating my furniture. Meticulous job, looks fabulous! Rachel and Craig are so helpful and friendly, couldn’t ask for more. Except can someone please stop me from going into the shop! LOL. Every time I’m there I see wonderful pieces and can’t resist. Xx
I have just had some teak furniture painted by Rachel and I'm absolutely thrilled with the finished pieces. Great customer service, good choice of colours. Rachel was very helpful and l can highly recommend Penny Pieces.
Pleasure going into this lovely little shop, filled with all the goodies. I went there for frenchic paint. I ended up buying other things, Staff were very helpful getting items that I needed. Its nice and local, i saved the PP getting it sent from Frenchic. If you havnt been to look around, it's a must.
