Exactly how you expect a Waitrose to be. Slightly smaller than some. The car park is the worst part as it's a less than idea layout and some of the customers can be less accommodating to other people with a slight air of self importance.
We do our weekly shop at Waitrose Ponteland and have done so for the last 16 years. The store has the advantage of bring of medium size but we can invariably find what we need.nThe staff are always friendly and helpful.nI like the scanning facility which means we can price the goods as we proceed so no waiting in the queue at the check out.nMy one gripe is the store no longer stocks strong brown flour which I prefer for my bread making!!
Empty shelves,most goods yellow stickers, use by same day,no staff on floor avoid.Returned visit,fresh goods with reasonable use by dates,shelves well stocked, staff on floor and helpful much improved, will continue to shop at Ponteland store .
Cramped and dirty car park. Almost got hit several times because of poor size and drivers. Didn't have the item I came for as not stocked at this branch.
Lovely shop. Pity we don't have 1 in Whitley Bay
