We have five peoples having a dinner , the total price is 119.9 dollars, each person about €20 including drinks. Great food and great serving , I will recommend my other friends next time.Food: 4/5
Always have a great experience dining here. It's great value and the food is amazing. The Christmas decorations are very nice. There are always great deals here and the steak is amazing here on steak night. Tried the fajitas and nachos recently too and it's delicious.Food: 5/5
Went in for dinner 7pm Saturday and went to the new upstairs lounge to avoid the multiple TVs downstairs. Well, TV on upstairs in what is a nice lounge and should be set over to diners not football lovers. Then the background music was hired up to a level too loud for dining. Got steak on a stone which is gimmicky at best, I dislike having to cook my own food or sitting with fat spitting over my clothes. A good size steak but flavourless. Chips and onion rings not enjoyable, tasted of dirty oil. Salad garnish poor. So I just ate the steak. Still hungry. Waitress didn't ask any opinion when clearing the table, Football is still on and competing with loud music. Come on penny hill, this new lounge is a replica of downstairs! Try aiming for some class.
Will never go back.. order starters and a mains of a young lad who was nice for 3 people 40 mins later asked about where starters were and got told by girl will go check then manager arrived to table Deirdre sorry for delay and starters will be soon and asked will hold of on mains I reply that makes sense.. then starters and mains arrived at same time sent mains back and manager arrived back with mains and said I wanted them at same time which wasn’t correct then bad attitude saying you ordered both to come out together and I explained young waiter took order please tell me why I would want starters and mains at same time I said go ask young waiter and manager walked away but came back apologising and put the blame on young waiter and said to us I sent him away with is jacket so blaming him on everything and could hear manager giving out about us when went to bar mains came out completely wrong after all and it was just funny at this stage just wanted to pay bill and leave manager brought bill over herself and I payed and she passed the blame on waiter
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food we had Fish & chips was delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was beautiful.Food: 5/5
I went here early evening and it was less crowded. It was well decorated for the Halloween event. It took a while to get the attention of waitress of get a table but after that she was courteous and polite. We had prawns pil pil and fish & chips. Prawns pil pil were amazing. I am sure later in the evening the place would have come alive with more people and music.
I was here on a Thursday eve after work and it was quite pleasant, I've been before over weekends and I didn't enjoy it, I think if you're going to drink and party weekends are fab but if you're there for a meal not so much. But anyway so Thursday was lovely though, good happy service and the atmosphere seemed alright, I was also in good company though, so hard to not enjoy the atmosphere. I had the prawn curry, coming from Durban South Africa where curry is spicy, this was not a good one for me as I found it quite bland. All my friends really enjoyed their meals though, a mix of steaks, some brie, wings etc. Apple crumble for desert was tops!
Great spot to have a bite to eat and I've always been happy with what I've chosen. The kitchen is integrated into the pub which I really like to see your food being cooked. It's a place I have been to often and will be there again . Fish, chips, puree peas and tartar sauce was perfect. Recommend!
The food and service is great, plenty of space unless you go on a Friday evening or sat then it can get back to back but that says it all about the place great atmosphere toFood: 5/5
Brand new beer cooling system. Thanks Louis . A few years overdue in fairness. Alison is here from the very beginning and is the oldest not by age here . Quality with food has been up and down over the years but in fairness that’s the same everywhere! The staff here part time and full time are nothing short of excellent ! The food has been consistently good the last three years ! Aaron in particular has been superb since his arrival from the palmerstown house ! I am in the beer quality buisness 25 years now for a major brewery! Louis your pub which is my local since the day it opened is in very safe hands and a jewel in my view in your suburban portfolio!! Thanks Louis for giving the people in Lucan a great outlet for having quality beer with your investment in the new beer cooling system and great food ! But above all the staff who make our experience no matter what day it is a very friendly one ! Dietary restrictions: None Kid-friendliness: No problem here if they behave Wheelchair accessibility: Perfect
