The Red Poppy is a Symbol of Remembrance, not a Symbol of War, those Men that went into Battle did so not by Choice, but they did so to protect their Country and the people in it, I would prefer it, if you had a Day of your own without trying to use 11th Nov or Remembrance Sunday for your Day, I am a Service Veteran and would prefer that we can Honour those who gave their lives for our freedom, Have a Day of peace and I will Happily Buy a White Poppy, but NOT when you are using the very Day set aside for Remembrance, Please show Respect, so we can return the Respect.
Great way to respectfully remember all victims of war, not just British soldiers
I’ve never heard such a load of waffle in all my life, waste of time and effort!
Today I am remembering civilians who died from war and rejecting glorification of militarism.
