My GP recommended physio sessions with Maureen for sciatic pain and arthritis. After just 3 sessions and home exercises I have felt improvement in my mobility and physical health. I need more sessions to improve my ligaments and muscles but the progress so far has been good. I came to visit Maureen in July having suffered with back hip and ankle pain for over a year. Treatment was delayed due to covid restrictions. Maureen assessed my range of movements and gave me a program of exercises to do , promising me she would know if I didn’t do them! Just had a follow up visit and the change is amazing. I feel so much stronger and more flexible and my pain has virtually gone. I can’t thank Maureen enough! Such a lovely lady. I promise to do my exercises always!!

I came to Maureen Wicks unable to walk, unable to do my gardening, unable to climb the stairs....and in utter despair.  Maureen examined my leg, pointed out muscles that had lost their tone, and gave me exercises and a lot of encouragement. I can now walk my dog, garden with care, climb the stairs safely, and in very little pain. Thank you very, very much.

My experience with Maureen Wicks, Apos therapist, has been transformational for my mobility and life style. I would recommend both Maureen and Apos as a route to enhance a life compromised by time ravaged knees. I was cynical as to whether wearing boots could be of value, but it has made a huge difference to my movement, ability to stand for long periods, distances walked and mental health. I have gone from measuring metres to measuring miles in 9 months. I wore the boots and anticipate I will improve further. I can do more. It is working  for me. What helps you also helps your family. I am 68 years old. I had been with Maureen Wicks for Apostherapy physiotherapist after I had too much pain in my right knee and orthopaedic consultant advised me for knee replacement. I had appointments frequently  with Maureen seeing my progress. Wearing shoes given by her as much as I can in the house. Now I am discharged. I am completely pain free, doing my daily living routine, swimming, Zumba, house work, dance etc. I can recommend Apostherapy  to anyone before thinking for knee replacement. Thanks to Maureen being very helpful.

After 7 month with lots of pain, finally got an appointment with Maureen. What can I say... excelente profissional, she was determinate to discover the cause of the pain, and lack of sensation on my leg, as the scan could not identify... And she really did it... Lots of exercises to help and after almost 3 month I feel almost new! I can't put on words how grateful I am, thank you so much!

The service provided by Maureen was excellent. She explains things succinctly and no question is too trivial. She is the face of Apostherapy in the area and her approachability, knowledge and professionalism are a credit to her and her team.

I have been going to see Maureen for over a year now, she has been brilliant trying to help me. I was told at the start that this treatment didn't work for everyone.  Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me. I think the only thing that would help me is a knee operation. But I would still recommend going on this course as it may just work for you.

Excellent care from Maureen Wicks here, using the APOS therapy. I was very well and professionally looked after. The premises could be much improved, though - quite difficult to find and hidden away in a dowdy shopping precinct. I'd recommend anybody with arthritic knees trying this therapy, though, if given the opportunity.
