We visited from Swansea today, a journey of approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. We arrived just shy of the opening time of 10:30 and the car park was quiet, a handful of cars so plenty of parking. The only thing which was not immediately obvious is where disabled parking was located so ended up in the overflow car park I believe? The check-in was smooth, with the QR bar code from the email we were soon inside the Adventure Farm looking around. We had a fantastic day, the kids enjoyed and we really enjoyed especially the swamp boats! There was something for all the family and an unusual pig race! Never seen something like this before and it was a really good entertaining experience. To top it off, the kids are treated to a foam party at the end of the day. Cafe prices are reasonable, slight discount if you order on the app as opposed to at the counter. Ordered a standard portion of fries for £2 which was a generous portion and were quite good. I think the only downside really is lack of water fountains / filling stations around the farm to keep hydrated through-out the day it was quite warm there were plenty of hand washing stations through-out however I doubt that is drinking water. However 600ml bottle of water from the Cafe costs just £2. Thank you for the enjoyable day.
Lovely farm to visit, lots for kids to do. Would have given 5 stars but the service in the cafe needs to improve during busy periods. It took more than 50 minutes to get our food and drinks. The soft play is fantastic and our children loved the Easter egg hunt and feeding the lambs. Will visit again!
We stayed in the grainstore , one of the cottages that sleeps 8 people along with a wood fired hot tub . Everything was amazing from the start with homemade welsh cakes and prosecco to finish with a visit to the farm for their santa experience, both the children and adults had a ball. Would love to return in the future .
Great little farm, very friendly staff, lots to entertain children both indoors and out. The weather was pretty dire on our visit but thankfully there was lots to occupy and the half hour slots for activities left no time for boredom. Price was reasonable too at £14.50 for adults and kids over 93cms.
We've just come back from 2 night's staying here and as a family of 4 we absolutely loved this place. We camped at the campsite on pitch 11 which had amazing views. The pitch had electric, water and was reasonably level for our camper. It had a chemical waste point on site, toilet and shower facilities all lovely and clean. The farm park itself was fabulous, the kids always had something to do, from tractor rides with a very funny and knowlegable Paul, pig racing, den making, petting animals, wizard shows and seeing all the farm animals to zip wire, sledge slide and soft play area so whatever the weather the kids were fully entertained. We went in October half term so it was all about the pumpkins, from pumpkin launching, picking your own in the pumpkin patch to then pumkin carving and toasting marshmallows at the end of the day. With also a bubble fun party for the children to let off the last bit of steam. The staff are amazing always happy to help and a smile in their face, nothing was too much trouble. We had an issue with our wind out awning while we stayed and Dave was so helpful letting us borrow a ladder so we can get things fixed. You can also access the adventure farm park throughout the duration of your stay, so if you miss anything the first day you can go for more. Kids loved every minute, we will definitely be going back.
Great fun for all ages little steep on entrance price but most things are included in that price incl easter egg hunt so evens out. It is positioned on a hill side so not overly recommended for anyone with disabilities who struggle to walk on uneven ground but if u got children there a bit of everything from animal handling an feeding to tractor and sledge rides. They offer over night stays which would like to try in the future ! Highly recommend a visit
Not the best experience... For what you pay to get in I was expecting a lot more. At one point, they were showing around a rabbit for the kids to stroke, I sat at the end of the bench with my baby waiting to show him the rabbit, and the girl holding the rabbit stopped at every child before me then completely skipped me and my child. So rude! The food is so expensive for what you get. It's nearly £11 a meal and you get what I consider to be a children's portion a handful of fries and 4 nuggets. It also cost me £2.20 for a pack of quavers and a cream egg! I used to visit here a lot when my siblings were younger and was so excited to take my own child here now. But it seems like it's gone really downhill. Not much to do there anymore, the toilets were really dirty, and all the soap dispensers around the farm were empty. So how are you supposed to wash your hands after feeding the animals? Don't think I'll be returning sadly.
What an absolutely fantastic day at Cantref! 4 children aged 1-10 and all had fun all day. So much to see and do all day, and the best part of it is that it's also an authentic working farm, so all staff are super knowledgeable about it all. The staff were so friendly and helpful all day, special shout out to Jordan and Sarah. Hands down one of the best days out we've had in a long time, and for a really reasonable entry price. Highly recommend.
Extremely good value for the price. Lots and lots to do for kids and adults of all ages. Went with my 3 year old boy and he was able to do everything really. Staff are very friendly and the animals look well looked after. Loved the tractor ride especially.
Cantref Adventure Farm is a great place to take young kids. I have three children aged 12, 10 and 3 and they had a fantastic time. This is ultimately a farm with lots of farm animals available to see, with shows happening throughout the day such as animal petting Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Mice and Rats, Lamb bottle feeding and Pig races. There is also an indoor soft play area for little and big kids as well as an outdoor play area more geared to little ones. There is a bounce activity area for the larger kids and the longest sledge ride in Europe which is really good fun for everyone. The nice thing about this place is, because it's not a theme park you don't really queue for anything. The food is also pretty reasonable fed and watered 2 adults and 2 children for £30. The four tickets for entrance came in at £70 for the farm and park and for my older ones I paid for an hour horse riding trek which was a shade over £25 extra each. As with any family day out they are always expensive but ultimately we had a great day out on Holiday and I would recommend it to families with young children.
