A simple but lovely little cafe that serves the best fish and chips in England ... well, at least the parts I have visited. Great service with happy employees and happy guests! Thanks from Texas USA.
Honestly wasn't expecting much as this was the recommended restaurant on a tour, but was impressed with the kind service of the staff. Food was pretty decent and would recommend this spot to friends.
Fast service and the fish and chips are the best I have ever tasted. The cod is fried fresh right in front of you!

Have frequented this 'greasy spoon' on and off for years and never been let down with the service and quality of grub. A traditional cafe with no frills and good old fashioned service.
Nice traditional cafe but a bit pricy for what you get £7.95 for a breakfast with a cup of tea. Bit stuffy inside, no ventilation and bit difficult to get around, not for the disabled / wheel chair users. Also, needs decorating and sprucing up a bit
Best cafe in town for a bacon butty & mug o tea. Keeping us all socially distanced, very clean/hygienic. Staff are all friendly, polite & helpful. Wide range of meals, desserts, snacks & drinks, all reasonably priced. Plenty of seating for larger groups. Not wheelchair friendly as big step down to get to seating & toilets upstairs.
Rubbish service, waited for 15 minutes, staff ignored us, despite another customer pointing out we were waiting when she paid her bill.
I absolutely loved this place. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent and inexpensive and the portions were more than adequate. Unfortunately I only found it the day before I was due to return home. I will definitely be returning. Thoroughly recommended.
