Nice pub, good atmosphere and great food. Main meals range in price from £10 to £25. We went on a Friday evening in April. The venue was fairly busy, but the staff were attentive and helpful. The wait times for service and delivery were reasonable and the food presentation was excellent. We paid £80 for a three-course meal for two including drinks. I'd recommend The Palmer Arms for adult/family get-togethers.
What a lovely place. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu is well balanced as is the beer selection. Food didn't take long to arrive once ordered and it did not disappoint. The food was stunning. Must say thank you to our waitress Emma who really looked after our table of 10. We will visit The Palmer Arms again. Thank you all. Parking: Lots of parking outside the venue. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access for wheelchairs and room to move through the restaurant.
We all had an amazing meal here. Both hubby and son said they had the best pies ever. I had the gluten free burger best burger ever and our daughter in law had the vegan option. She was very pleased. Would definitely visit again when we come to stay with our Son and hopefully very soon., Parking: Parking around the back Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy intolerant I had great service and very confident eating here. Great menu choices too.
A pretty random Google search on our way home from Heathrow Airport led us to The Palmer Arms - and we were very pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious, portions large, everything came quickly and the service was extremely friendly and all staff very helpful. I think this might well become our regular after holiday stop!
Had a fabulous meal with the family last night! Such great quality food with brilliant gluten free choices for the mum in law. Could do with more vegan options but the tart was yummy!
Went here last night for a Christmas meal. The food was mediocre. The carrots were hard the Brussels sprouts tasted like they were frozen. No parsnips. I had a chip on my plate. Not somewhere I would recommend. The staff were very good though. Other complaint is the ladies toilets are at the entrance and freezing cold and why isn’t there any hot water to wash your hands in this freezing cold weather.
Abbot ale excellent. Good prices. Food available from 1200, quality English menu. Chicken salad was juicy and filling. Family was made welcome, grandkids loved climbing house/slide and chicks in hut.
Very poor vegetarian options just 1 option on the entire menu. The waiter we had was very good and asked the kitchen to prepare a vegetarian option for me, however this was a pretty poor vegan burger. The chicken avocado burger that was also ordered had such a tiny amount of avocado on it and was very dry. Food was dumped in front of us by a different waitress and we had to go back inside to ask for sauces which we were told would be brought to our table, but didnt arrive. After 3 times of asking, these eventually arrived at our table towards the end of our meal. Overall, poor vegetarian/ vegan choices and poor food quality
Great service even when busy. Food also excellent and a good choice of beers and ales. We have been here many times and the staff are always welcoming and attentive. Also dog friendly.
The Palmer Arms is a nice pub on the outskirts of Eton. It’s got a warm homely feel as you enter with the bar located at the front and a nice light and open modern restaurant area at the back. The beer selection is pretty varied and menu offers you traditional pub food as well as a few more interesting dishes if you fancy something a bit different. As I was in the mood for good ol fashion pub grub I ordered the tuna melt and a side of chips. I was glad to see the chips were proper pieces of potato and not a few fries in a can. The tuna melt was also delicious, despite being covered in cheese, the tuna was still tasty and moist and the perfect topping to the large slice of bread it sat atop. The service was also friendly and overall we enjoyed a top lunch, so give it try if you’re ever in the area and fancy a proper pub lunch.
