This place is horrible the lanes were the worst. Not 1 strike the whole time. This is the worst lane I have seen. It is also very sketchy. Our cab driver said that this was a sketchy place. Nice employees so that’s why I put 1 star but this is the worst alley ever. The lanes have dirt on them. You have to kick down the bumpers. Half of the time is fixing the lane. Overall it was horrible.

As we approached on the broken escalator I noticed what looked like Ionic style pillars decorating the entrance. On closer inspection they were merely gold-painted cylinders with some circles affixed to the top so as to suggest the Ionic style; barely even pillars at all. Already impressed with the exterior, I entered and was greeted with a stale aroma that defies explanation. It suggested perhaps alcohol, or cigarettes, or old furniture that needs re-upholstering. Perhaps a combination of these and other factors. After a brief confusion at the welcome desk, we entered the complex proper and paid for one game. For three people this came to under £12 which is by far the cheapest game of bowling I have ever had. And yet the experience they offered could not be bought for money. When we found our lane we began entering our names into the computer; this was more of a struggle than expected. The panel on which the buttons were embedded had come loose, and every time we pressed one the whole panel slid backwards slightly into the machine. Furthermore, it was not always clear how to proceed with the process. The angle of the computer screen relative to the ground meant that it was very difficult to see which button we actually had to press to input our names and begin the game. After about 5 minutes of struggling with the computer system we succeeded in typing out some hilarious, witty names for each other. To our great disappointment only the first initial of each name was displayed. During our game the lane machinery malfunctioned on multiple occasions. Very often one or two pins would fall over immediately. At least twice at the beginning of someone's turn the machine failed to produce any new pins at all, and once, it placed the pins only to sweep them all off immediately and then replace them with more. I would say the rate of rounds where nothing malfunctioned to rounds where it did was about 50/50. Though we did not use the railings, I noticed on other lanes that many of them were half-destroyed, and people using them still had their bowling balls fall off the side. One of the highlights of our visit were the animations it displayed on the computer when you failed to hit even a single pin. Since we are all terrible at bowling this happened quite often, and we got a good variety. There were the standard ones where the bowling ball falls down a hole or bounces away and so on. Then there were more unusual ones, like where it gets unexpectedly devoured by a smug-looking dragon. The best was when a jet, symbolising the bowling ball, was flying over the sea. As it flies, it approaches an island with the ten pins on it. When it gets closer, suddenly an enormous submarine shaped like a pin rises from the ocean and shoots a missile at the jet, destroying it. Aside from bowling, there is a good variety of arcade games on offer. Half of them are broken. Since both air hockey machines were out of order and the pool tables, with pieces of green material ripped out of them, did not look very appealing, we elected for some Dance Dance Revolution, at which we fared slightly better than at the bowling. All in all we had an excellent evening and unless you are really serious about bowling (in which case you are a boring person anyway) I would highly recommend a visit.

Only go here if you desperately need to bowel urgently. All the equipment is old and tired. On both occasions we went, our lanes computers were broken to start with and had to use another. On our second attempt at going, our lane also jammed half way through so had to move again. Not very clean, floors were sticky with a stale smell in the air. Food selection is not at all good ...unless you like fake hotdogs. The place really needs desperate renovation. Allot better options. Overall experience was very poor on both occasions and expensive considering what you are paying for.

Not the best bowling experience I've ever had. Minimal customer service, expensive, defective lanes and no atmosphere. Good in terms of location - it's ten minutes from Waterloo by foot - but it's not worth going there more than once.
