Make timd to visit here. You will be pleasantly suprised with the amount to look at and the history it holds. Staff are exceptionally helpful. Im disabled and they coudnt have done any more to assist. Please try the cafe - great coffee and food all reasonsblt priced. The insite shop is a little pricey but its a Royall Palace so thats to be expected. However, the guide books, postcards and fancy royal tea in tins , and tea towells,  were reasonibly priced.  The garden are beautiful and it takes your breath away to stand in the garden looking at Arthurs Seat right next to it. Although you cannot take photos inside the palace - you can outside and in the gardens. I managed to take some spectauler pictures. Would i go there again - yes i would. Its one of those places where each time you visit you will notice something new/ differant its just there is so much to see you wont always see it all the first couple of times.

This is my first time to visit Edinburgh palace,and we really had a great time.nThere are so many historical architecture  that we need to see one by one.n‍‍All of the staffs are very friendly and kind to help customers when they have questions for visiting.nThere are two shops in the palace.One is in the big hallway,and the other is in the exit of the palace.You can go check and see the lovely merchandise when you are free.

Beautiful grounds, Abbey ruins and a palace full of Scottish and English history! The audio tour is good and an extra visit into the royal apartment is recommended. Don't miss it!

If you are traveling to Edinburgh, this is a must.   The main part is, of course, the staterooms, which kept a lot of their historical charm.  At the end is a narrow spiral staircase up to Mary, Queen of Scot’s’ rooms.  This is where I had a bit of an issue.  Due to mobility issues, I was not really up to doing the stairs, but the only way to avoid them at least as far as I could tell was to walk all the way back through the staterooms.  I was told there would be a staff member near there to guide me, but after waiting 15 minutes, no one could be found.  While my hip was not up to the stairs, I’m glad I did it to see the artifacts of her reign.nnWhile the palace itself was quite fascinating, I fell in love with the ruined abbey and gardens right outside.  We lucked out with gorgeous weather, so we could enjoy both.  The path around the palace is a bit long if someone does have mobility issues and there was nowhere to sit along the path, but the views were spectacular.

Absolutely beautiful palace. Really interesting story to follow about Mary Queen of Scots and the Stuart royal line. The audio guide was easy to follow and really enhanced the walk around the complex.
